Hello, I'm Mathias.

I'm from south east of France, near Nice and Cannes.

I worked as an engineer for 4 years and I just resign my job to go discover the world, meet new people and live good moments.

I love to meet new people to know how they live, what make them happy and help them in their projects.

If I had to, I would describe myself as a quiet person, who know how to enjoy both peaceful moments and times to have fun. Oh and if you plan to go for a drink, you can definitely count me in ;)

I'm intersted in all what is related to DIY, permaculture and gardening in general, nature and wildlife, music and cooking.

I'm not afraid of tough work and I'll try my best to present my skills in my profile.

DIY and general maintenance skills :

I'm used to do general house maintenance work, such as unclog sinks, repair or replace broken stuff and various other usual tasks like painting and sanding.

I can also build some simple wooden structures (I've build greenhouses for crops and wooden terraces to retain ground). I want to learn more things regarding carpentry.

When I was a student, I worked as a mecanic at my father's car workshop during summer holidays. So I do the routine maintenance on my cars, and sometimes more complicated tasks when I can get the appropriate tools and parts.

I would be glad to help you in your various property maintenance tasks, building and renovative projects, and in your car maintenance as well.

Permaculture:

For several years I have been doing permaculture on my parent's land and it interests me a lot (from sowing to harvesting).
Every season, I prepare the soil, sow, plant, tend to the crops and harvest. Here in the south of France we have grown tomatoes, peppers, squashs, cucumbers and salads.

I also did preservation, such as pickles, sterilization and drying.

Gardening :

Basic gardening tasks such as weeding by hand, mow the lawn, plant and take care of trees.

Cooking :

I'm used to cook a lot for my family. I think my interest in cooking started in waching my grand mother cooking famous italian and french meals in my childhood.
Now I love to cook various meals from all sorts of countries : french (of course), italian, american and asian. I would be glad to cook things for you and learn about your country's cuisine.

He really helped us to work on our land creating new gardening areas and digging holes to plant fruit trees in the orchard.
