Hello.
I have had some amazing experiences with Workaway from helping to set up a healing hub, nature clean ups, grape harvesting and life coaching.
I am a certified life coach and reiki practitioner I joined Workaway to develop new skills, travel and give the best of myself. I want to help and support others whilst learning, meeting new friends and exploring the world.
I recently qualified in reiki level 1 and level 2. I studied in Portugal. This was a wonderful spiritual experience I want to share with others.
My workaway experiences have been brilliant on the beautiful islands of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Palma and also visited the magical Morocco and Cyprus immersing myself into the culture and helping my hosts. This has involved gardening, environmental clean ups, growing fruit and vegetables, general maintenance, guest experience support, teaching English and dog/cat care.
I lived on a narrow boat in the UK for 2 years and it was a wonderful adventure - laughter, tears, fears and learning. I love living off-grid and in a small space, nature is so wonderful, calming and beautiful.
I enjoy stand up paddle boarding and I am working towards my coaching qualifications.
In June 2023 I decided to take some time out from my career to seek adventure through travelling and supporting good causes. I worked in the Civil Service for 3 different government departments for 32 years, mostly leading and supporting projects for disadvantaged people and vulnerable community groups and young people. Helping to bridge the gap from worklessness into employment. I love to see people grow and reach their full potential.
My 2 fantastic children are grown up now. I love being a mum, this has taught me many life lessons and how to bring out the best in people.
I want to meet interesting people and discover new places whilst helping others and being the best version of me.
I am hard working, keen to learn and very flexible in terms of getting the job done. I will always try!
I am a non-smoker and pescatarian. I am practical and hard-working, enjoy living in the now, being present and listening to others.
I love to run, I enjoy exercise, walking, reading, yoga, colouring and writing.
I will always give 100% and respect hosts for providing wonderful opportunities.

Anca is kind and considerate and clear in her requirements and instructions. The tasks varied each day from cleaning and gardening to fence sanding and painting, sewing and creating art through up-cycling shells. I enjoyed the variety.

The campsite is beautiful and highly rated.
