Hello

I am British, 41 years old and currently based in Brighton.

I have a background in project management with a focus on construction. The work I have done in support of projects has been focused on its commercial elements (financial appraisals, contract management). This is probably not that helpful for most volunteering opportunities, but I hope it shows that I have a logical and pragmatic mind. I have worked abroad in my career, including for an international development consultancy in Nigeria for 18 months. It was a great experience, adapting to an unfamiliar environment and learning from a new culture.

This autumn I am keen to help out on any opportunities in Europe that involve working in remote areas supporting interesting nature projects or farming/harvesting. I am happy to provide manual labour and do my best at any crafts (with support or guidance). I am a decent cook too. I expect be free from late September, and am willing to commit to a placement up to 2 weeks.

Project management; know how to do basic labouring and gardening. I also enjoy cooking, and have previously worked in a kitchen. I'm fit and active and very keen to learn a new skill.

I really recommend this as a workaway opportunity.

I stayed with Carol-Ann and Peter for almost two weeks. As described, their place is in a remote area. I drove and bought my bicycle which helped explore the area/region.
