We are Luisa (25) and Andi (27) and we started a cycling trip in September 2023. We both finished our studies this year and want to take a year or two off.

Luisa studied "Human and Environmental Psychology", a bachelor degree that tries to take a holistic view of environmental protection.
In her free time, she likes to do sports like hiking, cycling or bouldering, or work in the garden with friends. She also spends a lot of time reading, drawing and cooking. She has worked with children at an environmental education centre and enjoyed it very much. She has also worked in the catering industry (hotels, bakeries, cafés) since her school days and has gained experience there. She loves working with animals, as she grew up with dogs and cats, and gained experience with rabbits, horses and chickens during her time as an au pair.

Andi finished his architecture studies in the spring and started working in an office.
He likes to play soccer, read books and listen to podcasts. He also likes to go for long walks, especially if it includes a break on a bench. Since the fifth semester, he has been able to gain experience in various architectural offices. He also has smaller construction projects at home, such as building a wardrobe, a bed or a loft bed. He has experience in gardening and with animals, as he has helped Luisa with this from time to time on weekends.

We've been a couple since we were at school and this is our third time travelling together. Last year we went hiking in Spain and in 2019 we went to Paris by bike and train. We tried to do vacation as close to Germany as possible to avoid flying.

We have planned to take on various tasks on the trip. As we have very different experience and interests, one of us will always be better in the area and the other will have the opportunity to try out new things.

Luisa can help with childcare, cooking, gardening and looking after animals. She could also do some drawing and is interested in learning more about constructionwork.
She worked as an au-pair for half a year and now she does some babysitting at home. Most of the children she has looked after have been between 1 and 6 years old.
She grew up with two dogs and cats, which are part of her family, but as her host family lived on a farm, she also learned to take care of chickens, cats, rabbits and horses. She helped feed them and prepare the horses for the children's riding lessons.
She worked with two friends in a community garden where they grew sustainable fruit and vegetables and she would like to develop her skills in this area. She really enjoys working outside.
She loves to cook and often tries out new recipes, but as she is a vegetarian, all her dishes are vegetarian. She is motivated to learn new things and has no problem starting work early in the morning.

Through various internships with roofing and other construction companies, Andi has gained experience in many different areas of construction.
He has also done some private projects building furniture. He is used to planning through his studies and his work in architectural offices.
He is used to renovation projects through his family home and prefers to work with wood and natural materials without producing waste.
During previous workaway-stays, he has also prepared beds in the greenhouse and done a lot of work outside the farm.
As none of his his friends or siblings have children of their own (yet), he does not have much experience of looking after children or even babies, but he is willing to learn more about it.
Andi is not used to having pets or other animals in his family or close environment (except of the dogs of Luisas family), but he is very interested, curious and wants to learn more about living with animals.
He is interested in gardening and has some basic knowledge of planting, but has mostly been assisting Luisa.
He has some experience of cooking and baking bread and is willing to learn more new recipes and methods of preserving food.
