Hi! I’m Ludovica — born in Rome, shaped by few months in Valencia and later on by six years in Amsterrdam. I’m 28 and currently exploring South East Asia with the intention to learn, contribute, and connect in meaningful ways.

I have two degrees in Chemistry and worked in vaccine research, but recently realised I want my work to have a more direct, local, and practical impact. That is why I resigned, left Amsterdam few months ago with this trip in my mind. I now want to shift toward the environmental part of Cheistry especially projects related to water purification and pollution reduction. Science is my way of understanding the world — but I love getting out of the lab and using it to help people in real life.

At the same time, I’m a very hands-on and creative person. I love painting mandalas and working on small reconstruction or painting projects. I enjoy working with kids too — sharing curiosity, creativity, and simple everyday skills. Cooking is another passion of mine; experimenting with recipes and sharing meals is one of the easiest ways for me to feel at home anywhere.

I’m extroverted in a gentle way: friendly, open-minded, respectful, and motivated by learning. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and hearing how they see the world. I believe in empathy, curiosity, and taking the time to understand before judging. That’s what makes travel meaningful to me.

I’m joining Workaway to learn more about balanced, sustainable, community-oriented ways of living, and to contribute wherever an extra pair of hands or a bit of creativity is useful.
