I am Leon, 28 years old and I just finished my master studies in transportation planning this year. After some incredible experiences living abroad, like my time work-and-traveling in New Zealand and my Erasmus stay in Budapest, I now want to try to build a life in another country. I chose Spain for the closeness to the sea, the good weather and the warm-hearted people. I am here from mid of January and plan to spend a couple of months to get to know the country and the language better, before settling down somewhere more permanent. During this time I would love to spend time with local families, give something back by helping in sustainable or social projects or stay in a hostel to connect with travelers from all over the world.

I would consider me as a easygoing, open-minded person, who is always up for new experiences. In my freetime I do different kind of activities, like doing sports like bouldering and beach volleyball or playing music (guitar and piano). I like both, chill gatherings with friends with playing board games or cooking and going out to some cultural events, like museums, the theater or jazz concerts. In the summertime I love experiencing some adventures in the nature, like sleeping outside, canouing or anything else which comes up.

Sustainability is very important for me. Therefor I volunteered in an organization in Germany called "Foodsharing". Here we helped "saving" food from supermarkets, backeries, food markets or restaurant, which would get thrown away otherwise and gave it to people in need. Because I like helping to make the world a bit better, I would love to continue this by getting involved in some sustainable or social project in Spain.

Que habilidades tienes?

I had a lot of jobs in my life in which I learned some different abilities. For example I helped renovating flats for some time (building a kitchen, painting or some other little works...). In general I like to fix stuff, mainly bikes but also some different household things. I tried sewing a bit with the sewing machine of my mother and would like to improve this skill a bit. As a digital native I am good with computers too. I worked a lot with QGIS and R in my studies and now I try to learn some other programming languages like HTML and Python for my future job. Also I like cooking with friends and try to make food from different countries. I know how to play guitar and piano so I could help you if you want to learn one of this instruments:)
