My boyfriend and I have made the decision to travel Oceania and East Asia for the first time in our lives. We are currently in Brisbane where we are adjusting to the new time zone and cultural customs.
I am an outgoing, passionate and people- oriented person. I have always wanted to travel and explore the world but I have been studying and working to train as an architect since I was 18 (I'm now 27).
Recently, I have had the opportunity to take a break from my studies to pursue my dream of travelling with the view that I want to see what else life has to offer.
In my free time I love to explore the outdoors, hiking and camping and exploring new places. I also play roller derby which has allowed me to be a part of a really inclusive, supportive community of fun people.
My boyfriend Jake is similarly very extraverted, great with people and animals and travelling. He has recently spent 3 weeks in Japan on a solo adventure, exploring a lot of the cultural landmarks as well as integrating with local life. This encouraged his passion for travelling and pushed him out of his comfort zone.
Jake was working as a manager at a large supermarket and he loved this job as he is motivated by helping people, even outside of his responsibilities as a manager. People are really drawn to him because of his warmth and how good he is at listening and engaging.
Jake is looking to travel to expand his knowledge of the world as well find out more about himself by tackling challenges and meeting new people from all around the world.
At home we loved playing with our two cats, Simba and Ralph. They are really sweet playful cats that enjoy playing hide and seek in the garden while we do the gardening.
We are so excited to travel the world together and want to meet some amazing people and be pushed out of our comfort zones. This trip will bring us a chance to reset and reflect on our journeys so far and bring us inspiration for the next chapter of our lives.

We are very interested in learning other languages. I have been learning mandarin since I was a child, as well as German however my German is still at beginner level as I haven't practiced regularly. We are very interested in teaching English as we feel like we could be very patient, and fun teachers.

Que habilidades tienes?

I, Leishen, have expertise in working on the computer using a range of design and Office software. I have worked in an architecture practice for 5 years learning how to project manage, liaise with consultants and learning skills in construction.
I am adept at the arts also, having studied architecture and art I have used a range of techniques such as painting, pottery and wood working. I also have a range of crafting hobbies including dressmaking and paper crafts.
I have also helped renovate my family home where I learned lots of skills such as brick laying, landscaping and painting and decorating.
I have also grown up with animals, my family dog is a little Pug called Paddy, he's 10 years old. We also had lots of small pets such as Fish, Gerbils and Degus. I love animals and we now have 2 cats.
I love to cook and food is one of my passions, learning under my mum from a young age. My mum is from Taiwan so has taught me lots of different cuisines and my favourite type of food to cook is east asian food such as Thai and Chinese.
I also love keeping house plants, I had 20 at one point! And love to garden; I am currently growing sunflowers.

Jake has lots of skills in his professional career including working with children as an IT technician at a private school. He worked with West Midlands police as a security and information risk advisor, assessing security systems and received a certificate in Information Security Management Principles.
Jake's passion is working with people in his current role as a retail manager where he looks after his staff's emotional and physical wellbeing as well as the store's commercial success. He has won the most 'Partner of the month' awards at his current branch and has been told that he always puts others first.
Jake is proficient with computers, in both his professional career and personal as one of his favourite past times is gaming, being one of the top players in a worldwide league.
He loves DIY and working outdoors eg. gardening and fixing things around the house. His love of fixing mechanical objects probably comes from his love of cars and he often is fitting new gadgets on his car.
He has lived independently since the age of 18 ( he is now 29) and has lots of experience in looking after animals and keeping a clean tidy home.

We enjoy watching anime together. We read a lot of books and enjoy talking about philosophical topics and debating who is right.
