Hey there!

I am Lea, 22-year-old and live in Freiburg, Germany. It is right next to the black forest and comes with an open-minded and nature loving atmosphere . In summer this means a love for cycling down the "Dreisam"- River or going to one of the many lakes around here and in winter, a nice place to walk in the snow on the one hand and on the other hand, a nice view out of the window with a hot chocolate :)

As a side job I work at the 'international club' of the student service, where we plan events for students around cultural exchange and make theme evenings or study tours in and around Freiburg. Through this work, I have already met people from around the world, but like to use Workaway as an opportunity to extend this experience in the 'outside' world.

I do kickboxing and I like to be creative in my free time, like knitting or sewing. I am a pretty communicative and I am interested in other opinions, ways of living and thinking. For a healthy balance, I enjoy spending time alone while going on a walk with music in my ears or depending on the mood, either reading or watching movies cuddled in my bed.

Que habilidades tienes?

Since I have worked a lot with kids, elderly, and handicapped people in the past, therefore I have a lot of experience in assessing social situations. Social work has taught me to be patient, how to adjust to groups quickly, a lot of things regarding sof skills in general.
Since sports has played a major role in my life for a couple of years now (first calithenics, power lifting and now kickboxing) it does help with certain helping activities, since I have developed strength and condition :)
I often translate for people which can helo too. I do understand and speak Russian as I grew up bilingual and understand Spanish. I also was fluent once... now I would need a dictionary app to be as fluent as before :)

Maybe it could be helpful that I sew? My boyfriends' mother taught me sewing and the feeling of wearing something that you have fully made is definitely unbeatable. I therefore have already fixed some of my friends stuff as well...
