Hi! :) I’m Kathi, 24, from Austria. For the past six years, I’ve been living in Innsbruck, where I recently finished my Master’s degree in Primary Education. Besides my studies, I also began an education to become a seamstress.
I’ve always loved using my hands to create something new. My mum taught me how to sew when I was a child, and it has grown into one of my biggest passions. Over the past few years, I also fell in love with knitting, and two years ago I started my pottery journey. I have attended a few workshops and joined a ceramics studio in my hometown to improve my skills. I am still at the very beginning of this journey, but I am very interested in learning more.
I’m a very outgoing person who loves good conversations with friends or strangers (preferably over good food). I’m very interested in people’s way of living life and their perspective on the world. I’m also passionate about nature, especially the mountains, since I grew up surrounded by them. In the winter, I spend most of my free time snowboarding or ski touring, and every summer I work on a cabin in the mountains. I especially enjoy that time of the year since it gives me peace to be so close to nature and to have the best views while working.
Before starting my job in September, I’d love to take some time to explore new places, experience different cultures, and meet inspiring people. The past few years have been pretty busy, so now I’m looking forward to slowing down and living life day by day.
For me, Workaway is all about finding a balance between helping out, learning new things, sharing experiences and having fun along the way. I’m happy to help wherever I can, support with daily tasks, and just be part of your everyday life for a while. :)

I bring a mix of practical, creative, and people-focused skills. Through my studies in Primary Education, I’ve learned how to work responsibly with children, support learning in a patient and structured way and adapt to different personalities and needs. I’m reliable, organized, and used to taking initiative. My creative hobbies have taught me patience, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. I’m also very open-minded, communicative, and enjoy creating a welcoming and positive space for everyone.
