Descripción
I'm Jessica and live in the italian side of Switzerland. I studied anthropology and I worked for several years in the administration sector of social associations. I quit my job last year and traveled during some months around Spain and Portugal, where I found marvelous people. I was hous sitting, worked in the garden and on the land. I found recently a new job, but will still travel through this platform and WorkAway (it's more complete with pics and feedbacks - I can give my profile link) during my holidays. As a woofer I would like to explore people and places that make me feel home and inspire me for my future projects. I have interests in permaculture, horticulture, self-production of house and body natural products, calisthenics, spiritual topics and practices.
I would like to learn / discover:
- cultivation of tropical plants and the production of food items that are common in Europe like coffee, chocolate
- bioconstruction
- more horticulture (techniques, right sowing, consociations, evaluation of soil)
- right use of medicinal herbs
- being self-sufficient in terms of energy / water / food preserves and general way of life -

Que habilidades tienes?
I attended a course in permaculture (PDC 72 hours) in 2021. Next to that I practiced gardening and horticulture alone and in a shared garden for 5 years. I do myself products for the body like cremes, soaps and deodorant. I produce my own bread. More in general I try to live in a ecological way and my objectif is to have my own land someday, cultivating my own food and living as self-sufficient as possible. I'd like to share this project with someone liked-minded.
I'm also particularly interested in seeing the production of products that in Europe are taken for granted, like coffee, chocolate, cashews, peanuts and/or other nuts, tea, spices like cardamom, pepper, turmeric... I would like to participate in their cultivation and transformation.
About me: I consider myself responsible, respectful, I take work and my tasks seriously. I’m organized and clean.
I’m generally sociable and like to meet new people and listen to their stories. It fascinates me. But I also like my private space to charge my batteries.
To me are important a good and non violent communication. I understand and respect that everybody has their needs - it’s important to communicate them and find a good way of sharing quotidianity. -

Dieta especial
I don't eat meat and avoid processed food. I don’t drink cow industrial milk or yogurts. Generally speaking I try to eat local and healthy. I’m not vegan and neither vegetarian because I eat fish from time to time. But I really appreciate vegan dishes.

We had lovely video conversations before she came to my place. I wasn’t able to meet her, as my work plans changed. I trusted her to do the jobs she was capable of because she is easy to talk to, honest and caring.
