Hello, ich fahre ab Mitte Oktober nach Neuseeland und werde dort für einen Monat rumreisen, bevor ich dann als Kitesurflehrerin anfange zu arbeiten.

My name is Jantje, I'm from Germany and I love to travel and to learn more about different cultures. I consider myself as a warm, friendly, open-minded person, who enjoys to be active and to be outside in the nature. My hobbies are kitesurfing, swimming, cycling, hiking, skiing, kayaking.

Last summer I graduated from high school. After that I started to work&travel for a half year. I was in Spain, Portugal, Austria and Italy and had an amazing time. I met so many wonderfull people and learned almost every day something new.

I was working on different farms, where I took care of different animals like goats, donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. I also did a lot of gardening and learn much about sustainability and how to become self sufficient. Furthermore I worked on different DIY and building projects.
For example I insolated a chicken coop, builded a greenhouse and a bridge out of wood and did a lot of painting. I like to cook and to speed time with kids.

I enjoyed traveling so much that I thought about ways to keep doing that. So I combined my two passions traveling and kitesurfing together. First I went back to Germany and did there my licence to work as a kitesurfing instructor and worked the hole summer at the north coast. In October I took a flight to NZ and worked the hole summer in Nelson as an instructor. I got now a month left to travel around the north island, before I go back to Germany at the end of May.

What makes me really happy is to meet people from different countries and cultures, explore new places, to be productive and create something beautiful.

- a houskeeping job (took care of dogs, cats, goats, sheeps and chickens)
- I really like cooking and dealing with children
- DIY and building projects (isolated a chicken coop, painted doors/shoe cabinet/stair railing)
- Experience working at a climbing forest as a safety trainer
- I did two internships, one at an hotel and one at the newspaper
- I distributed food as a volunteer worker
- Athletic background and willing to work hard, no matter the task
