Hello there, my name is Jakub and I am planning to come back to exploring the world via Workaway from June!
I did almost a whole year of workaway back in 2022, it was really great experience for me and after such a break I am very eager to continue getting to know other countries culture.
During this break I also started freelancing and plan to continue doing that while travelling, although I in almost all cases I don't need more than 10/15 hours a week for that, with full flexibility regarding the hours, so no worries there :).
As a home cook and a foodie, I love cooking, sharing recipes and eating new food. I also enjoy very much learning new languages
I would describe myself as adventurous person, I love learning and doing new things, although I am not scared of more stable premises, I have can-do approach most of the time :).
I do well in hospitality positions (experience from 2 hostels I volunteered at)
I am not afraid of any work and I am really open to new experiences, people and cultures as well as being optimistic ;). I integrate very easily and really like helping others.
Regarding my background I was studying economy related major, but worked mainly in IT related office jobs. Apart from that I was private tutor for some time (English and Mathematics)
I like sports and keeping active, especially volleyball and cycling.Intereses

I would say that my biggest skill and interest lies in cooking, and all areas related to that. My favorite discipline is something that I call "scrap cooking", which is basically making something tasty from what is left :). I was also making my own cider and wine for some time, with quite good results. Since I was working in IT I am quite adept with computers, analysis and bit of programming too.
I was also sailing a couple of times, so know my way around . In any case, I am eager to learn and learn quickly new things, so this section will be growing ;).
I worked in a restaurant as a cook and cooked in hostels for up to 30-40 people at once.Edad

I spent 2 weeks there together with 2 other volunteers and it was really good experience, Jam is a prime host, puts much effort into the communication and really cares that people actually have good time while volunteering and discover the nearby area.

The city is gorgeous and there are so many things to do that you won't get bored there,
Living in a hostel is definitely different that normal life (as a plus). You get to meet and interact with so many people from all around the world, it's real fun. The amenities and… read more
