Jacob -
Hi! My name is Jacob Underhill. I'm 25 years old and from Kansas City, Missouri. I went to college at the University of Arkansas where I got my degree in Industrial Engineering. I continued my education at the University of Michigan Dearborn where I got my Masters in Supply Chain Management. I am passionate about soccer, charity, family, and the outdoors. Now that I am finished with school, I want to spend time meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and contributing to a variety of new communities.

Hi, my name is Xavier Walser, I am 23, and I just graduated from the University Of Michigan Dearborn with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am looking to have a unique, fulfilling, mutually beneficial and adventurous learning experience through workaway before starting my career. Jacob and I have been roommates for the past 3 years and are fantastic friends and are great at working together and living together. I am passionate about nature, my friends and family, and making the world a more happy place. I love new experiences and challenges, and I've been dreaming of doing something like Workaway since I started college. In my free time I love to be outside and around those I love. I am very active, extroverted, and curious about the world.

Xavier -
Growing up, my Dad was always doing renovations on our house or building new additions to his wood working room, so naturally I was interested in what he was doing and eventually really started to enjoy building things as well. In high school I took as many wood working classes as there was available, and really enjoyed them. Any projects that may require craftsmanship would be very enjoyable and right up my ally. As a manufacturing Engineer I am used to solving complex problems that may be new and require lots of troubleshooting. New challenges are one of my favorite parts of my job and solving problems is a big motivator in my life. I also grew up helping my little brother out with his homework as school came very naturally to me, so I'd really enjoy tutoring if a host is looking for that. I have been living on my own since I was 18 and have really taken to enjoying cooking. I absolutely love cooking for my friends and family as it makes my heart full. I really enjoy meeting new people, and I have been told by many of my friends and family that I am great with people and very kind and friendly. In college, I played soccer for my university so I am in great shape physically and I am not afraid of hard work. During family vacations, I always bring a GoPro video camera and make and edit videos at the end to keep and share with my family. I am very organized and pay great attention to detail, as a lot of my work is very detail oriented.

Jacob -
My parents owned a lawn and landscaping company for over 20 years, and I worked there from age 13 to 22. I gained a lot of experiencing in doing yardwork, designing and installing landscapes, installing fencing, and laying bricks. During college, I worked as a line cook in a family owned Italian restaurant. I am comfortable prepping, cooking, and serving food for groups of all sizes. I also have a lot of experience in planning and running charity events. I helped to start a charity in Kansas City that has held events all over the world aimed at collecting clothing, serving food, building homes, and bringing communities together. I have a strong work ethic and great attention to detail shown through my engineering background. I love being a member of a team working toward a common goal. Professionally, I've managed teams as small as 3 and as large as 50. I'm easily excited and love to learn new things. I'm open to experiences out of my comfort zone and will give anything a try regardless of my experience.

Xavier -
I am very passionate about soccer as well as the outdoors and camping. I absolutely love nature and learning about all of the different flora and fauna a new place has to offer. I am a beginner surfer and would love the opportunity to get better! Hiking trails and exploring is how I spend my summer with friends, as well as swimming in Lake Michigan. I love board gamed and card games and often spend the weekends with friends playing a new game.

Jacob -
I love to play sports of all kinds and spend most of my free time outdoors hiking, swimming, or hammocking. I also enjoy listening and singing along to music, doodling in my journal, and reading. Growing up traveling a lot, I always keep a deck of cards with me and love to learn the games that everyone has picked up. Experiencing new cultures and food is one of my favorite hobbies. I've been to almost every state in the US as well as traveled through Europe, Africa, and Central America.
