¡Hola! Soy Jake, tengo 31 años y soy de Wirral, un pequeño municipio del noroeste del Reino Unido.

Llevo toda la vida buscando nuevas experiencias y aventuras y, en los últimos años, he tenido la increíble oportunidad de sumergirme en diversas culturas. Pasé un año viviendo en las animadas calles de Hanoi, Vietnam, seguido de más de 3 años en la vibrante energía de Barcelona, España, y hace sólo un par de meses me fui de Medellín, Colombia, donde pasé 3 años inolvidables - me impresionaron sus impresionantes paisajes, su animada música y su contagioso entusiasmo por la vida - Colombia nunca dejó de sorprenderme.

Ya estoy viajando con mi pareja, Bernie, y esperamos encontrar algunos proyectos interesantes y nuevas experiencias que nos permitan conectar con las comunidades locales. Ya sea trabajando en fincas sostenibles, echando una mano en iniciativas comunitarias o simplemente ayudando en casa - estamos dispuestos a empezar y sé que no se van a arrepentir de recibirnos.

Soy un chico amigable y me encanta conocer gente nueva. Soy activo y muy deportista - en los últimos años, he escalando bastante tanto en boulder como en altura y no me canso de hacerlo. Siento que traigo una mezcla de habilidades diversas a cualquier proyecto, con experiencia en jardinería, cultivo, prácticas sostenibles, y DIY en general - Cualquiera que sea el proyecto o el trabajo, me meto al 100%.

Hello! My name is Jake, I'm 31 years old and from the Wirral, a small county in the northwest of the UK.

My whole life I've been looking for new experiences and adventures and, over the past several years, I've had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in diverse cultures. I spent a year living in the bustling streets of Hanoi, Vietnam, followed by over 3 years in the vibrant energy of Barcelona, Spain, and just a couple of months ago I left Medellín, Colombia where I spent 3 truly incredible years - it took stole my breath away with its stunning landscapes, lively music and infectious zest for life - Colombia never ceased to amaze me.

I’m travelling with my partner, Bernie, and hoping to find some meaningful projects and new experiences that will allow us to connect with local communities. Whether it is working on sustainable farms, lending a helping hand in community initiatives or simply helping out around the house - we’re ready to go and I know you won’t regret receiving us.

Speaking for me, I'm a super friendly guy who loves meeting new people. I'm active, and love all types of sports; over the last few years, I've been climbing, both boulder and lead and I can’t get enough of it. I feel that I bring a diverse skill set to any project, with experience in gardening, cultivation, sustainable practices, and generic DIY - Whatever the project or the work, I will get stuck in 100%.

Crecí en una casa que siempre estaba en construcción y desde entonces he formado parte de varios proyectos que han requerido habilidades similares. Tengo una amplia experiencia en construcción, decoración y jardinería - La verdad disfruto mucho este tipo de trabajo y adquiero nuevas habilidades bien rapido!

Además, siempre me han gustado los animales y a lo largo de mi vida he adoptado 3 perros. Mi sueño sería vivir en un entorno rodeado de animales.

También hablo español a un nivel C1 y, si es posible, me encantaría ser voluntaria en un espacio totalmente español.

Estoy muy orgullosa de mi ética de trabajo y me esforzaré al máximo en todo lo que me propongan. Busco aprender y adaptarme y creo que esta es la mejor mentalidad que se puede tener.

I was very lucky to grow up in a house that was always under construction and have since been part of several projects that have required similar skills. I have a vast amount of experience in construction, decorating and garden work - I really enjoy this type of work and I pick up new skills very quickly!

Also, I have always loved animals and throughout my life, I've adopted 3 dogs. My dream would be to live in an environment surrounded by animals.

I also speak Spanish to a B2-C1 level and, if possible, I'd love to volunteer in an all-Spanish environment.

I really pride myself on my work ethic and willl try my absolute hardest in everything you throw at me. I'm looking to learn and adapt and I believe this is the best mentality to have.
