I'm a person grateful to life, and also extremely curious about it.
I studied arts in high school and languages at the university, so I can make crafts speaking different idioms at the same time. I'm a mother to 2 lively bilingual teens who are the sparkle of my days. I love reading, teaching (which is my job), and taking pictures. My friends say I'm a generous person, always willing to help, and probably they are right!
I love my family and my friends all. Last but not least, I love my 4 cats!

I'm a teacher of English and I love it. English gave me the opportunity to feel a citizen of the world and I can't stop thanking my parents for this opportunity. Languages are absolutely fascinating to me, they're open windows on different cultures, so I'm always happy to learn something new.

  • Que habilidades tienes?

I'm a mother of 2 teens (14 and 15y.o.), so I'm keen on anything related to children and housekeeping.
I have 4 cats, and I used to live among dogs, so I know a bit about animals.
I worked as a personal assistant for more than 10 years, so I get on well with computers and agendas.
I teach English to children, school and university students, and adults, therefore, even if my language is always improving, I know the language quite well!

Please note that I volunteer with my daughters (14 and 15 years old). We don’t have a "couple account" because their age doesn’t allow it.
However, please take a few minutes to read about us—you won’t regret it!
    About OUR WORKAWAYER EXPERIENCES 2015-2020:
In the summer of 2015, I volunteered in Ireland with my eldest daughter as an experiment, and I found the experience truly inspiring. From a personal perspective, it felt like being 20 again, rediscovering the pleasure of living with a host family but with a more mature sense of duty and responsibility.
In the summer of 2016, we applied to be a host family ourselves, and it was a fantastic experience. My daughters grew fond of the girls who visited us (from Ireland and Canada), gaining a new opportunity to practice the language and learn more about different cultures.
In the summer of 2017, we volunteered for one month in Ireland, hosted by two different families, and we were always warmly welcomed. I must say, Irish people are my favourite! Every family has ups and downs, and neither hosting nor volunteering is always easy. But when you open your heart and truly connect with others' emotions, life becomes a treasure trove of gifts—learning, understanding, giving, and receiving.
In the summer of 2018, we hosted a young Austrian woman for over a month as she embarked on a new chapter in her life. She was absolutely fantastic with my daughters—confident, reliable, and a joy to be around. I also had many long and meaningful conversations with her about self-development, education, health and wealth, and much more.
In the summer of 2019, we hosted again because we weren’t able to volunteer that year. We welcomed a German girl who was an absolute delight. She was reliable in many ways, and my daughters grew very fond of her. She was originally supposed to stay for just two weeks, but she ended up staying for a whole month, and I’m so grateful for the time she spent with us! We’re still in touch—we visited her in the summer of 2024, and she’s coming to visit us in April 2025!
In February 2020, we were lucky to volunteer in London for one month. We took care of a playful dog, a sleepy cat, and a traditional house while the family was away for their school mid-term break. It was a unique experience, but it gave me the chance to show my daughters the incredible city of London. They absolutely loved the experience of dog-sitting such a lively and lovable dog, but we also met new people here and there!
Over the last three years, I returned to university, so I wasn’t able to manage any volunteering. However, I’ve missed it so much. Recently, I asked my daughters if they would be interested in a new volunteering experience, and they enthusiastically said YES! So, here we are!

    About ME:
I’ve been teaching English for more than a decade, and I absolutely love it. I run private playgroup courses for children, Cambridge certificate courses, and private lessons for teens and adults. I’m also a CELTA-qualified teacher.
I love my husband very much, especially because he supports my unconventional ideas, like going abroad to volunteer with our daughters!
I’ve been practicing mindfulness for over 10 years, and I find it to be the best gift I can give myself. My hope is to grow as a person a little more every single day.

    About MY DAUGHTERS:
They’re two lively teens with unique passions who are growing into responsible, self-aware individuals while also being sensitive to others. I believe that the exposure to a second language and the experiences we’ve shared have played a key role in developing their intercultural competence and awareness.
Elisa loves horses and is extremely sensitive to fragile people. Just an example: at school, last year, she used her knowledge of English to help a foreigner schoolmate to feel welcome, and they are great friends.
Ilaria is passionate about hip-hop dancing and fantasy books. She also studies German and Japanese.
Both of them are huge fans of ’80s and ’90s music! They also volunteer at a youth center, helping primary and middle school students with homework and language learning, as most of these students are non-EU citizens who receive little support at home, and I’m proud of my daughters for making a difference in their lives.
