Hi my Name is actually Emelin, had to choose another Account name since mine was already taken. I was born in Germany to parents that are from Malaysia & Vietnam, so coming in contact with multiple languages was normal to me, as well as traveling long distances.

Emelin is truly one of the best workers we've ever had — she stands at the very top.

She has a remarkable ability to notice the smallest details, full of thoughtfulness and care that I find very characteristic of someone from Asia. For example, the moment I step into the kitchen, Emelin is there to help without being asked.

Although she… read more initially said she had no experience in cooking, she quickly picked up the skills and was soon able to cook a variety of dishes with me. She also takes the initiative in doing the dishes more than anyone else.

She has an incredible sense for noticing what someone might need at any given moment and steps in with the right help, exactly when it’s needed. She reads people’s expressions and emotions and responds with such natural kindness — I truly believe this ability to empathize with others is one of her innate strengths.

She’s naturally caring — it’s just who she is.

Her cleaning is meticulous, and she folds laundry so neatly. I never imagined someone this perfect would come to work with me — it feels like a dream.

She gets along wonderfully with Gosha, our Polish team member. Both of them have great personalities, and together they make an ideal team. They each take our dogs out for nearly two-hour walks. What surprised me the most was seeing them argue over who gets to walk the dogs — saying things like “I’ll go!” In the past, our workers would try to push the responsibility onto each other, saying they didn’t want to go. So to have someone who genuinely cares about the dogs is something I deeply appreciate. And she loves all three dogs equally and wholeheartedly.

We did so many fun things together — cherry blossom viewing, hot springs, karaoke, and hiking. Emelin has an amazing singing voice, and karaoke night was one of the highlights thanks to her. With Emelin and Gosha, we laughed so much that our stomachs hurt. These are the kind of memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

At one point, Emelin took on a 4-day babysitting job for a Chinese-American woman and her child. Unfortunately, the mother treated her very poorly. We ended up talking and laughing about it at home, and despite how terrible the experience was, Emelin still found humor in it — that’s just who she is. She turns even difficult moments into something light-hearted.

She also overlapped a few days with Jayi, a Chinese worker, and they got along so well. Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone not liking Emelin. She’s the kind of person who gets along with everyone and is loved by everyone.

On her days off, without being asked, she used a sticky roller on the futon and even helped with laundry. She helped so much that it was hard to tell if it was really her day off.

I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done. I find myself wishing this time with her could last forever. But I know that one day, she’ll move on.

If possible, I’d love for Emelin to stay here for good.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way about someone — thank you so much, Emelin.
