Hi reader! If I think of what creates happy feels in me, I would say it is a feeling of working together towards a common goal that really energises me! Besides, I am totally up for good conversations and sharing experiences and ideas! Add a little bit of joking in there, and the cocktail for good times is prepared :D The reason that I signed up for Workaway is that I like to be of service, work outside and/or in places that are new to me & from which I can learn, so that I can feel like dora the explorer a bit :p, and to meet new people. I worked on a farm last summer and noticed that getting my hands dirty is something that I like, being surrounded by nature. That is something that I am totally down to be doing as a Workawayer. Besides, anything that has to do with (mental) health grabs my attention and inspires me. I recently graduated in Psychology and I am planning to work in this field (either research or mental health care), but for now I feel like exploring and changing my scenery. In case we are going to meet each other; looking forward to it!

With regards to my experience, I can say that I studied Psychology and I did paid work as well as volunteering in different fields.
I have multiple years of work experience as a service worker or bartender in restaurants (the longest period was 4,5 years in a hotel). Doing this, I am trained to do various tasks and activities, taking into account the work schedule.
Since several years I am a volunteer for youngsters with the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, as I am involved in organising and hosting a meet-up night for these youngsters, in which they can socialise in a safe environment.
Last summer, I worked on a Dutch farm on which I helped with weeding. I loved to learn about agriculture and in the mean time to be of service to the farmer. It was also very fun working with the others!
This is not the only work experience I have, as I also worked for the University of Utrecht (front office & as a statistics teacher), as a volunteer for a project aiming for better health for our next generation, as a mental health care sociotherapist and as a junior researcher :) Though, I explained a bit more the work experience for which I thought this is more relevant for working as a Workawayer.
