Descripción
Hello! We’re a young Belgian couple passionate about travel, creativity, and sharing our love of learning. This year, we’re embarking on an adventure to the other side of the world to combine our skills and make a meaningful impact.
We’re also launching a project called Fairy Trails, where we’ll host creative workshops in primary schools to spark children’s imagination through storytelling. As a teacher and therapist team, we believe creativity and self-confidence are essential skills for resilience, and we want to inspire tomorrow’s adults through hands-on activities.
Julien is a 30-year-old math teacher and adventurer who has traveled extensively, exploring the Silk Road and South America by bike. He’s passionate about physical and mental challenges, and brings energy and commitment to everything he does, from being a scout leader to teaching dance.
Elodie, 28, is a speech therapist, art therapist, and coach with a passion for holistic approaches and working with children. She brings creativity and wisdom to Fairy Trails, crafting therapeutic stories for children. Elodie enjoys photography, video editing, dance, and creating art.
We are both nature lovers who enjoy hiking, and we’re always eager to learn new skills and knowledge along the way.
Our first language is French, but we are both fluent in English.

We spent 10 days at Jemma’s place with all her family and had a great time there ! We did some painting, cleaning, gardening and fruit picking. We could also join them for family dinner at night and share some quality time with them. We had a shared house with a worker from the farm.

Amazing time with the family. eating vegan, working on the field with Melanie, playing with the children, i really felt included in every part of the family life.
they took us (i was with another volunteer) to a festival, and we were able to try a few beers at their bar in samaipata town.
accomodation basic but good.

jullien was un owr proyect during one week. Since his Arrival he is a fun and calid person who is easy going. It was pleasure to host him in owr farm and he helped us a lot whit is proactiv actitud.

Increible ! So amazing project and even more the couple living there. It is one of my favourite workaway (and i have done a few). They communicate very well by message.

Julien and Cynthia were our first Workaway experience and we could not have had a better start. They both took readily to any task that was given them and we got a lot done in the three days they were here. Julien was always helpful in correcting my rusty french and he was great company as well. Highly recommended!

Julien was extremely helpul! Even though he stayed with us only for 3 days, he just picked some tasks and started working. He managed to do more in 3 days than other people during a whole week :D Julien is also a very friendly person, and I loved the stories he told us about his travel!

Julien is one of the kindest people you may ever meet. We had wonderful 3 days together and learnt a lot from him. He is an explorer of his own dreams and I really appreciate it. Our cafe's door is widely open for you Julien. You can visit us the way back to Belgium if you want. Be safe and happy !

What a great place and meaningful project ! Around ten students come every evening to speak and play board games. Emre has some ideas but I was very welcome to share mine. Emre and Zeliha also showed us the city. I was there only 4 days but I felt like home.

I only stayed 2 nights but it was enough to see how generous and open minded Tolun is. Some work to do in his beautiful cave guesthouse but without any pressure. The view is one of the best of Cappadoce !

Marijeanne is a wonderful host. Cooking delicious meals that we eat together for lunch. She also gave me plenty of food for breakfast and super. Very kind person and open for various discussions.
No olives this year but always something to do in the garden. She doesn’t put any pressure, I could choose my working schedule as I wanted.

I applied only one day in advance and could join for 3 days this wonderful farm. Familial, there is however a lot to learn because there is a great variety of growing plants and living animals.
Zsanett was a perfect host, giving meals and always finding work for me to do.
Really nice experience for my first work away.
