Hi ! Let me introduce myself. I am Glenys, 73 years old, fit and healthy with three lovely grown up children. My background is in nursing and midwifery which I did for 40 years.
I love new experiences especially when it involves travel, getting to know a country, meeting new people and trying new things. I'm adaptable, love to learn and am a willing worker. I volunteer at a food bank and an Altzeimers support group, am a trustee of a non for profit care agency, so am happy in all sorts of situations.
My skills are varied .. since retirement I have worked on hospital ships in Madagascar and Cameroon, looked after my own house and allotment amongst other things. I am very laid back but also very friendly, hard working and reliable.
I hope from the above you will feel that I can be an asset to any host. I can cook, clean, housekeep, feed animals, use a hammer, paint, garden ....all sorts of things !
I love art, reading, sewing, the gym, cycling, swimming and yoga amongst other things.

English is my mother tongue so I speak fluently and would love to help someone to learn it. It is a beautiful language but complicated! My French is basic, having learnt it at school many ,many ,many years ago but it is amazing what resurfaces when you try to speak. I am studying Mandarin for sheer pleasure, it is challenging but another beautiful language. Also my two grandchildren are bilingual in English/Mandarin and I like to surprise them occasionally!
