We are Erika and Milene, a couple who has been together for over five years. Throughout our relationship, we’ve learned that our differences are our greatest strength — we truly complement each other, and that balance has been the “magic recipe” behind a partnership that has grown and evolved beautifully over time.

We share a deep passion for photography and travel, and we love discovering new places, meeting people, and watching sunsets from as many corners of the planet as possible. Our long-term dream is to become a nomadic couple, always contributing to the places we live in — not only as travelers, but as committed, hardworking helpers who bring positive energy, responsibility, and genuine intention into every space we join.

Erika feels most alive in nature. It’s where her mind becomes quiet, her senses sharpen, and everything makes sense. She is a biologist, wildlife photographer, and certified tour guide — naturally empathetic, grounded, and easy to get along with. In recent years, traveling has become her strongest motivation and her way of growing: she is driven by curiosity and the desire to explore the world with open eyes. She feels happiest surrounded by vast landscapes, warm sunlight, and the kind of silence only the outdoors can offer. Erika is deeply inspired by the challenge of capturing wildlife and natural scenes in a powerful, unforgettable way — images that truly deserve a permanent place in her memory roll. She enjoys sharing experiences and connecting with others, but also values quiet moments and alone time to recharge and stay balanced. Proactive, disciplined, and responsible, she takes pride in doing things well and showing up with the best attitude every day.

Milene, on the other hand, genuinely loves living — not just existing, but fully experiencing life. She is the kind of person who wants to absorb every moment: to watch, to listen, to learn, and to keep memories forever, as if she could store them behind her eyes. She is an architect by profession, but her path has never been limited to one title. Over the years she has worked as an English and Spanish teacher, a bilingual customer service assistant, and also as a photographer. She loves meeting people, understanding different perspectives, and being part of environments where communication, creativity, and teamwork matter. She enjoys wine and beer, but even more than that, she loves the conversations that come with them — stories, laughter, and the kind of moments where you connect with someone in a real way. Milene is also very hands-on and enjoys practical work and creative projects such as carpentry, painting, construction, and working with materials. She loves building, fixing, improving, and finding solutions, especially when she gets to learn something new. Music is a big part of her life too: she sings and plays a bit of guitar, and enjoys sharing music with others simply for the joy of it. Above all, she loves trying new things — in the kitchen, in nature, in travel, and in everyday life — and she sees every challenge as an opportunity to grow and add a new chapter to her personal “book of life.”

As a couple, we value honesty, authenticity, and genuine human connection. Wherever we go, we carry our values, our culture, and our sense of home with us — and we do our best to leave every space better than we found it. We also deeply care about the well-being of the world and the planet, and we strongly believe that humans can unite to build a more equitable, ecological, and free world. That mindset guides the way we travel, the way we work, and the kind of projects and communities we want to be part of.

We also have experience with language exchange and teaching. In the past, we’ve helped people who wanted to improve their English, and we’ve also supported others who were learning Spanish — whether through casual conversation, structured practice, pronunciation help, or simply building confidence to speak. We truly enjoy these cultural exchanges because they create real connection and make everyday life richer. We’re very open to sharing what we know, and at the same time we love learning from others. We would be happy to join an environment where we can teach, learn, and practice languages together, and we’re also excited about the possibility of learning a third language through immersion and daily interaction.

Milene and Erika are a highly complementary duo, and we both speak fluent English. We work very well as a team because our skills cover both the practical and the scientific side of projects.

Erika is a biologist with a strong scientific and structured approach. She is organized, disciplined, detail-oriented, and very reliable with routines and responsibilities. She has experience working in restaurants and summer activities in the United States, which strengthened her ability to learn fast, stay calm under pressure, follow procedures, and work efficiently in a team. She is also an ornithologist and wildlife photographer, with a constant interest in ecosystems, biodiversity, and field observation.

Milene is an architect with a creative, hands-on mindset and strong practical skills. She has experience with carpentry, design, welding, painting, handling tools and materials, and general construction-related tasks. She is adaptable, resourceful, and enjoys solving problems with her hands. She is also experienced in fast-paced environments, especially in customer service and high-energy work settings.

A key skill we share is photography and audiovisual content creation. Erika focuses on wildlife photography, while Milene has created photos and audiovisual pieces throughout her life, influenced by her family background. We can contribute with quality content while respecting the host’s values and daily work needs.

We are both proactive learners, curious, and comfortable in new environments. We genuinely enjoy connecting with nature and with people, and we value teamwork, responsibility, and a positive atmosphere onboard.

In our free time, we enjoy board games (especially card games and strategy games), photography (landscapes, birds and portraits), singing and playing guitar, reading, and spending time outdoors doing trekking/hiking.
