Hello there! We are Eleonora and Giovanni from Italy. We met a few years ago studying in the same library. We discovered workaway in 2023 and we found out that we really enjoy visiting new places, meeting new people and lerning new things in this way!

Starting with me (Giovanni), I'm 23 and I'm from Siena. I live in a big family in the Tuscan countryside where there is always something to do, like house chores, gardening and feeding chickens. I graduated in Natural and Environmental Sciences last year and now I'm doing a master degree in Conservation of Biodiversity. I like nature in all of its shapes, from plants and animals to its ecological side, and the best thing about it is that it never stops surprising me. I worked for a few months in the botanical garden of Siena, organizing documents and doing gardening. I'm also partecipating as volunteer in a socio-cultural association, where I help kids with foreign roots with their homeworks. In 2019 I spent a month and a half at my aunt’s house in a small island of Sicily (Vulcano), helping her and my uncle with their activity based on the production of high quality local tuna in olive oil and jams.

Talking about me (Eleonora), I am 25 and I am from Marche, a beautiful region in the middle of Italy. I did my batchelor in Siena and now I decided to move in Torino for a master degree in Anthropology. In the last few years I took part in a socio-cultural association, helping children with their homeworks, taking care of a shared garden. I also joined some European volunteering projects in Poland, Romania and Germany.

We both think that getting to know new places concern to meet the people who live there. It would be great to spend some moments with our hosts, sharing our cultures through recepies, knowledges and talks.

We are easygoing people who can adapt doing almost all kinds of chores inside and outside the house. Giovanni has some carpenter skills and he is patient and good with kids. Eleonora loves gardening and cooking nice stuff.

We enjoy to go hiking in the nature, go to thermal baths, play with pets, visit museums or exhibits, see drama shows, cook, read and listen to stories.
