My name is Marie! I'm currently living in the South Island of New Zealand, where i've been working and learning to surf for the past 6months. This has definitely been a dream come true, getting to travel and surf and eventually teaching women in Africa.
I've been traveling solo so i'm pretty independent and also love living in communities like small farms and with families/friends. Where I can live locally for months and have a routine especially if it involves kids. And long enough to harvest what we've grown if its on a farm. Helping out on farms has been my favorite way to refresh when i'm feeling burnt out or homesick while traveling for long durations.
Its also so nice meeting new people and exchanging stories and making memories with them:))

I pick up new skills pretty well. I've worked at reception at a beach hostel in Hawaii, housekeeping in New Zealand, wwoofed on an olive and aquaponics farm and housesat all over.
I'm currently looking for a small farm
But i'm alway open to any work exchange. Working on a boat is new to me but would love to learn a new skill like sailing.

Always up for an adventure and being in nature. Some of my favorite things to do are: laying in tall grass, going to local markets, playing football, jumping off rocks, dancing, surfing, cooking together, eating mangooos, I could go on:)
