Hello,

my name is Delphine and I currently live in Brussels (Belgium). I grew up in the Belgian countryside, in a small village with only 400 inhabitant (so there were more cows than people :-)). At the age of 18 I moved to Panama for one year, where I lived in a host family with whom I still have a great bond. That experience fostered my interest in traveling and meeting new people. Over the past years I have lived in Colombia, USA, Panama and Belgium for work (at a radio station, university, center for public welfare) and study.

Besides traveling, I am passionate about music (I play the drums) and photography. In my spare time I enjoy going to concerts and visit musea.

Growing up on the countryside, I love nature (especially if there is water around such as the beach or a lake) and places with a certain tranquility. I like going for a walk or swim.

I am looking for a workaway experience to meet new people and learn from each other, do something meaningful and see the world. (During summer: July and August).

When I meet new people, I can seem a little quiet or shy at first, but after the first (awkward) moments you will meet a social person who loves a great sense of humor. I can really enjoy good food and good conversations. I see myself as a patient and respectful person.

I love cats (and have experience with cat sitting and dog sitting).

When studying Communication Development at Ohio University I became very interested in (visual) anthropology. I still like reading and researching about social and cultural anthropology and it would be nice to meet people with an anthropology background or a great interest in anthropology.
