Hi, Darragh here.
Irish lad moving to New Zealand for the year.
I've been travelling recently with some family and mates. NZ will be my first time travelling alone and living abroad and i thought workaway would be a nice way to see new places and meet people while i get settled and look for consistent work to support myself for the year. I work in the environmental sector in ecology and am very interested in habitat restoration and conservation.

I love nature, hiking and exploring the outdoors, kayaking and plant identification. Im an avid gardener with lots of experience with garden maintenance and tree planting. Other hobbies include, painting/drawing, felting, reading and gaming.

For workaway im looking for somewhere that i can balance, working and helping with whatever jobs that need doing while on my downtime exploring the areas where ill be staying and time online in the evenings to job hunt. Ive always wanted to see NZ and would love the opportunity to meet some of its people.

Gardening- Im an avid gardener and with experience tending my own garden, germinating and tending seedlings, planting, repotting, watering weeding, I mainly grow flowers but i do have many fruit trees and bushes.
Household work- I'm very tidy and happy to help around the house with cleaning and maintenance.
Driving errands- i.e. weekly shopping, pick up and collection.
Creative design/decorating - painting, creative projects.
Animal care- happy to look after pets and or livestock, feeing, clean up.
