Hi everyone, my name is Chris. I'm from the United States currently looking for a place where I can learn new things, meet fun and interesting people, communities and families, and also do amazing things.

Making a difference and an impact is important to me, I want to leave a mark on the world, no matter how big or small and I'm hoping to find ways to start that through workaway. I am excited to get started and see what happens!

I've always wanted to learn more than English when it comes to language, I hate being the stereotypical American who comes to a country and expects everything to be written and spoken in English. I've tried a few time at learning Spanish and German but each time stopped as I didn't have anyone to practice off of and help me with the more complex things with the languages. I am of the opinion now that perhaps the best way to learn a language is to live with those who speak it daily.

I've worked in security, hospitality and customer service most of my life, I was the Director of Security for a premium outlet in my home state of New Jersey and did security for a few bars in my hometown as well. I've worked in hotels and restaurants as well and have built a solid foundation for interaction with people from all parts of the world.

However I am also proficient with manual labor, I've spent the last few years in the gym working out and putting on muscle to injury-proof myself due to my hobbies being Muay Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I do not have a lot of experience with farming but I am more than willing to learn as I think it is a useful skill to have.
