I live in Bellingham, WA, USA, which is pretty much as northwest as you can get. I'm looking to spend some time working far away from here without having to commit to moving (yet?). I'm interested in being near horses, nature, and enjoying company of new faces.
I've spent the last 4 years building a small business in a small town, and I just need some time outside of that routine without having a budget for travel.
I work as a tattoo artist full time, this gives me flexibility in scheduling.
Both before and during, I have worked as a grounds keeper/gardening for a wedding venue, cared for horses, sheep, goats and dogs, graphic design, worked farmers markets...and much more.
I do a lot of working, planning, set up of festivals and collaborating with other artists on smaller, non permanent structures. I really love all types of music and am very involved with the scene in ways I can.
I have a college degree in visual communication, design and psychology.
I have lived in intentional community housing, I have traveled for months on end, I have lived in a campervan that I built out, you name it.
I'm working on learning practical skills right now, such as welding and mechanics. I do not excel in these categories but I'm willing and able to try. I think my most marketable skills are
-design work- social media, websites, etc. it is not work I love but I am good at it (:
-creative thinking, project ideation,
-physical labor- I'm 26 and I'm able
-housetasks- cleaning, I am still working on mastering cooking.
-care for animals, kiddos, elderly
-??? You name it, I want to try
I love yoga, meditation, tea, painting and relaxation but I am equally in love with punk music and going out dancing, or camping out by a river for weeks. I like experiencing different culture.
