Hi! I’m Cecilie 🇩🇰

3 years ago I quit my office job and decided to swap screens and meetings for something more physical and meaningful (turns out that includes stubborn sheep, mountains of manure, and the smell of fish). Since then, I’ve been doing Workaway and seasonal jobs, mostly in farming and maritime work

I’m drawn to rural, quiet places, physical work, good company, and time to reflect. I like tasks that make a difference in everyday life, whether big or small - from fixing and lifting to simply helping things run a little smoother

My contract in Lofoten has just finished, after a season of lambing in spring and cattle and calves in summer. Now planning for my next adventures

Farm work
– 1.5 years experience with daily farm operations
– Lambing season: Monitoring ewes, helping births, and ensuring the health of newborn lambs
- Sheep shearing and hoof trimming
- Handling and care for dairy cattle
- Feeding calves during block calving
– Daily horse care: feeding, grooming, exercising
– Fence maintenance and installation
– Driving tractors (new and old)

Renovation & garden work
– Basic carpentry skills
– Comfortable using manual & electrical tools
- Grouting, painting, repairing structures
- Building a garden with permaculture principles

IT background
– M.Sc. in IT Management
– Mapping and improving processes, workflows and tasks etc.
– Test management, documentation and workshop facilitation etc.

I’m into cold winter dips, heavy lifts at the gym, live music, a good book, and a fast bike. I enjoy quiet evenings by a fire, and would love to spend more time fishing and hunting. I hope to buy my own simple cabin in the mountains and renovate it someday.
I appreciate nature and how it shows its colours in all of the seasons (I do like the snow a lot though). Being close to the ocean or mountains is where I feel most at home
