Finish my studies at UCLA until the end of September
Descripción
Hello and nice to meet you!
Who I am:
My name is Cassandre, I’m 25 years old, I’m French, and I grew up in the countryside of Brittany(France). I attended a business school in France with several internships, and I primarily work in the video game industry. Since January, I’ve been studying at UCLA for my final year, a 9-month certificate in entertainment. Yes, I work in video games and love playing them! However, I’m far from being someone who stays locked in their room for hours doing so. In 2018, I stayed with a host family in Miami for a month, and in 2019, I did a university exchange in South Korea. I love traveling, discovering new things, and stepping out of my comfort zone. I currently live in Westwood near my university, and during these 9 months, I’ve had the chance to travel around America as I always dreamed of (Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, and I even went alone to Mystic Falls in Atlanta to see the filming location of one of my favorite series).
I’ve been passionate about horses for as long as I can remember. I rode for 10 years but decided to stop because I didn’t always agree with the conditions in which horses were ridden in the clubs I attended. I wasn’t the type of person who arrived 10 minutes before the lesson and waited for someone to saddle the horse for them. Instead, I was the person who arrived at 10 am when the center opened, loved going to fetch all the horses from the fields, grooming them, helping the staff, and staying until late in the evening.
I’ve always been drawn to Western riding, which I generally find to be gentler for the horse and closer to nature. I’ve always missed this passion—my birthday gifts were always horse-riding days or private jumping lessons. For 10 years, I’ve dreamed of working on a ranch in the United States, being close to nature, taking care of horses all day, and being able to ride them. I also do athletics, mainly the 200m and 400m, but I’ve currently put that on hold while in California.
Simply put, I’m a dynamic, pleasant, determined person who listens to those around me. I love living experiences that make me dream, and I’m always motivated to try new things.
What I want:
As mentioned earlier, I’ve wanted to work on a ranch in the United States for 10 years. I’ve achieved my goal of joining an American school and traveling across the U.S. as I had always wished, and I loved it. Now, I want to, and I dream of, working on a ranch. I genuinely love horses, I love taking care of them, I love grooming them, walking them with a halter, taking them on long walks, etc. My goal is to find a job as close as possible to horses, but if there are other tasks to do in parallel, I have no problem with that—I’m very motivated to adapt to my new environment!
I’m also very open to working at rescue ranches; I follow a lot of rescue ranch accounts, especially in the U.S., on social media. Whenever my student situation allows it, I donate to such establishments, so I would also be happy to volunteer at this type of ranch and adapt to the needs of each animal.
I’m a sociable person, and I love meeting new people. I also have a good foundation in cooking, and I could introduce you to French cuisine!
Ideally, I would like to start working at a ranch in early October and be able to return to France before the Christmas holidays.Intereses

I wish to further improve my English through this experience. During my professional internships, I had many tasks in English, working with countries other than France. During my experience in the video game industry, I was in contact with the team in Canada. I studied for 9 months at UCLA, but it is always challenging to completely avoid French speakers and fully immerse oneself to learn English. I therefore wish to continue improving my English through this experience. I am a native French speaker and would be happy to help you learn the language if you are interested.Habilidades y conocimientos que quiero compartir o aprender

Regarding my skills:
With animals:
After 10 years of horse riding, I have developed a good connection with them. I have reached up to my Galop 3 level. I can saddle a horse, unsaddle it, groom it, bathe it, feed them, and lunge them (all of this might be slightly different in France and the US). Although my knowledge is not complete, I learn quickly and am determined to improve.
I used to do jumping in France.
I have a dog, a Golden Retriever, whom I take care of attentively (feed, bath, train, learn some tricks, walk)
Professional:
I worked for 6 months as a Sales and Marketing Assistant in a jewelry store in Paris. Due to the small structure of the store, I was given numerous responsibilities. It was there that I discovered the world of work.
I worked for 6 months as a Packaging Project Manager in a packaging agency in Paris. I was in direct contact with clients and managed the creative teams to meet their demands. I learned how to manage a team and prioritize tasks.
I worked for 6 months at the luxury brand Hermès as a Client Experience Project Manager in leather goods, where I also had significant responsibilities. I handled demanding VIP clients and organized demonstrations in boutiques worldwide. During this enriching experience, I learned to be precise in my work and manage a large number of tasks by prioritizing them effectively.
For my final experience during my studies, I joined the video game industry as a Product Manager at Don't Nod. I loved this experience where I was able to establish the marketing strategy for a game that was about to be released. My goal was to lead the press, social media, and development teams. I applied all the skills I had previously learned and specialized in a field that suited me better.
