Hi everyone!
I look forward to meeting new people and getting to know different places, cultures, and languages. I also love learning new skills and would describe myself as a rather quick learner.
My first workaway experience was 7 years ago in Panama.I was 19 back then, traveling by myself and looking for friends. I really enjoyed having a community of other volunteers and locals and actually getting to know the place where I was staying at. Since then I have done several workaways in different countries and have practiced different skills.
I would say I am open for every type of workaway and I do my chores responsibly.

*3 weeks at the reception in David, Panama (Bambu Hostel)
*2 weeks at the Relax Hostel in San Jose, Costa Rica (reception, breakfast, cleaning, laundry, making beds)
*2 months at Casa Azabache (hostel) in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico
*5 weeks at Colombia Immersion (spanish school) in Medellín
* 2 months at Casa Tequio (hostel) , San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico

Work experience:
* Helped managing projects for a development aid agency
*Helped in news production for a public broadcast studio
*I have a TEFL certificate (teaching English as a foreign language)
*I've worked in several cafes/restaurants for 6 years (making coffee, serving food and drinks, helping out in the kitchen)
*Babysitting for 3 years

* I'm a quick learner and I'm very interested in expanding my skill set.

I started as a student and decided to stay there for 5 more weeks to volunteer. That was the best decision I've ever made. Everyone at the school is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I improved my spanish a lot and also got to learn a lot about colombia. Thank you so much for making me feel at home! I've had the best time in Envigado :)

I've had a great time at Mike's hostel. The people are awesome, the hostel has a really good vibe and the work isn't too bad. You only have to do 4 shifts a week, so you have plenty of time to explore Costa Rica. Within only two weeks this place became my second home.
