I'm happy whenever I can learn something new, be it a language, a science, an art form or a household skill. I'm in Japan to learn its language and get to know its culture, since both are very different to what I'm used to and absolutely fascinating.

I'm a high school graduate from Germany taking a gap year before starting university. I'm fluent in English and speak French well enough to converse, and I've started Japanese.
My skills include cleaning, cooking and running a household, and some sewing. I've minded children before and tutored them in English and French, and I sing, paint and cycle in my free time. Additionally, I've helped in our garden at home and with our DIY projects around the house (such as setting up our projector and screen, building a garden shed etc.)
I had a great time working at a Ski Lodge in Nagano over the winter.

She was amazing that she helped us a lot and was always very polite and sweet.

Her English was clear so it was easy to contact.

She could be friend with anyone, so I was happy that I could invited more guests and friends.

The stay with Midori-san's family was wonderful. The kids and I had so much fun playing together and they're four little angels, I didn't want to let them go! Dejado por el workawayer () para el anfitrión (Help with our ski lodge in ...)

It was a great stay and I'm glad I got to do my first workaway here! The working hours were relaxed, my coworkers were fun and Nozawa Onsen is charming both day and night. I felt welcome very quickly and felt I had a good balance between work and free time.
