We’re a Swedish couple travelling and excited to experience the eastcoast of Australia through Workaway.

We are currently on a gap year from our master studies in civil engineering. We both love being active, spending time outdoors, and new experiences.

We bring practical skills and hands-on experience to any project. Axel has spent several summers renovating a cottage, gaining experience in carpentry and maintenance, and since this summer worked in construction. Smilla has worked a lot with kids in sports helping with activities and generally has a big love for kids. Together we make a reliable and enthusiastic couple happy to contribute wherever needed!

We’re eager to learn new skills, meet new people and immerse ourselves in local culture. We’re flexible, hardworking and enjoy both physical work and creative tasks always with a positive attitude and a smile!

We’re both very hands-on, quick learners and happy to help with whatever needs doing. We have additional experience with kids, technology, outdoor work, gardening, and maintenance.

Since we’re studying civil engineering, we’re used to problem-solving, working as a team and approaching tasks with a practical mindset. We enjoy physical work and don’t mind getting our hands dirty!
