Hello, my name is Ariane and I am from Quebec City in Canada. I love traveling , meeting new people and open up to new cultures. I already made several long trips and I can not stop! To help and stay longer in a certain place provides a deeper experience of the country. This is a great opportunity to do that. I'm open minded and I adapt myself easily to all situations. People find me very sociable, positive, energetic, trustable and easy going.
My mother tongue is French, but I also speak English, Spanish and I have basic Portuguese. I work as a nurse since 2014 and I also have a diploma in massage therapy with many years of experience. I have an artistic soul, I love all forms of art. I also practice several sports, I really like hiking.

Edgar was born in the countryside in Washington state. His area of expertise is construction, he has a lot of experience as a manager and he is good at renovation, carpentry, in fact in all manual work. He has also spent many years working on animal, grain and vegetable farms.

I'm open minded and I adapt myself easily to all situations. People find me very sociable, positive, energetic, trustable and easy going. I work as a registered nurse since 2014 and I also have a diploma in massage therapy. I have an artistic soul, I love all forms of art. I also practice several sports, I really like hiking. I did humanitarian aid several months in Bolivia and I helped also a family with childrens in Ontario during a summer. I also helped in orchards in British Columbia, California, Utah, Hawaii and Oregon. I have experience with the public, I worked in cafes, restaurants, museum, responsible in day camps, art teacher, housekeeper... I would be happy to offer you my help!

We had the best experience with Ariane and Edgar
They came two different times to manage the house and help with all the animals.
Their personalities fit perfectly into the CasAmistad energy and they provided loving and responsible care to the house and the animals.
They are easy-going and definitely highly recommended as workaway volunteers.

We spent a total of 7 weeks at Connie’s place and it was an unforgettable and wonderful experience! We looked after her hostel and her animals (2 dogs and 2 cats, as well as 2 baby opossums that we rescued) and we loved it! We became instantly attached to these adorable animals and felt like a loving family!

Nous avons passé deux semaines chez Lionel et ce fut un plaisir de l’aider. Nous avons entre autre cueilli des olives, travaillé sur son terrain, planté des arbres, taillé les oliviers, coupé des branches, nettoyé sa maison de chambre d’hôte… On ne s’est pas ennuyé et il nous a fait connaître son merveilleux village et nous a emmené faire… read more

Ariane et Edgar forment un couple très sympathique. Le contact est facile et la communication aisée.
Ariane est très discrète mais très efficace. Elle a participé à diverses activités comme la cueillette des olives ou l’entretien du jardin. Elle m’a beaucoup aidé et de manière très autonome pour préparer la maison de chambre d’hôte, qui devait… read more passer sa validation de classement étoilé. Elle a fait preuve d’initiative et proposé des idées intéressantes.
Edgar est du type très curieux et volontaire. Il a participé également à la cueillette des olives avec bonheur. Il a également participé à l’entretien des extérieurs, avec entre autre la taille des oliviers. Il apprend vite et fait preuve également de bonnes initiatives. Il sait aussi manier les outils. Il est très professionnel et digne de confiance.
Ariane et Edgar sont très complémentaires et forment une super équipe très efficace.
Ils sont toujours partants pour découvrir de nouvelles activités y compris à l’extérieur. Ils m’ont suivi aux cours de danse traditionnelles proposées dans le village. Ils ont été très bien accueillis par mes amis danseurs et ont participés avec joie aux danses. Ils sont venus dans d’autres évènements comme une battle hip-hop au centre culturel du village ou un village latino SBK et Forro dans le vieux Nice, où nous avons passé une belle journée de visite touristique aussi et gouté les spécialités niçoises.
Dommage qu’ils aient la bougeote car je les aurais gardés bien volontiers plus longtemps !

Ariane and Edgar are a very friendly couple. They are easy to talk to and communicate with. Ariane is very discreet but very efficient. She took part in various activities, such as picking olives and tending the garden. She helped me a lot, and very independently, to prepare the bed and breakfast house, which had to pass its star rating validation. She showed initiative and came up with some interesting ideas.
Edgar is a very curious and willing person. He also happily took part in the olive picking. He also helped with the outside maintenance, including pruning the olive trees. He's a quick learner and shows great initiative. He also knows how to handle tools. He's very professional and trustworthy.
Ariane and Edgar complement each other very well and make a great, efficient team.
They're always up for discovering new activities, including outdoor ones. They followed me to the traditional dance classes offered in the village. They were very well received by my dancing friends and happily took part in the dances. They also took part in other events, such as a hip-hop battle at the village's cultural centre and a SBK and Forro latino village in the old town of Nice, where we spent a lovely day sightseeing and tasting Nice specialities.
It's a pity they've got the shakes, because I'd have happily kept them longer !

Ariane & Edgar are really amazing, they are very friendly, creative and hard working people.
Thanks to them our jungle is now a nice garden with space to stock firewood and because of their help we have more than enough wood to keep the fire burning for at least 2 winters :)

They were also very hard working, sometimes we needed to call "stop!" as they were so keen to just get on with the tasks.
