Hello! I'm Amanaka. I was born in Hawaii and grew up primarily in California. I've been traveling for most of my life for family, work, and pleasure. I've lived a wide variety of different lifestyles and very much enjoy continuing to learn and experience new things.

I spent years living on off-grid land projects in rural farm communities in Hawaii and the mountains of northern California. And have experience with shepherding animals, working on farms, land tending, water lines, maintaining a "living home", and the many other things that come with homesteading and living intimately with the elements.

I worked in music and entertainment for many years which took me all over North America and parts of Europe. Some of the roles I filled during this time were organizing and producing a variety of different events, tour managing, performing, art installations and builds, and artist relations.

I've worked at youth camps for surfing, nature connection, science, and art, as well as helping teach English at a language school in Ecuador. I also have experience leading yoga classes, and practice Lomilomi massage, as well as herbal medicine. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder and value wellness and the ability to show up when people are in need.

Most recently, I have worked in traditional land management and restoration through fisheries and prescribed fire. I've primarily done this on the Yurok tribal reservation with their leadership and absolutely love it! I'm no stranger to work and enjoy engaging my body and having fun :)

I like to play music, create, and connect. I enjoy being of service to people and place when I travel as a guest in new spaces, and love finding new ways to build global community.
