Hey everyone, I’m Alissa.
I graduated from high school last summer, and before I start university this summer, I’d like to travel, meet people from all over the world, learn new skills, and experience different cultures. I’ve had the opportunity to travel a lot with my family, but now I’m looking forward to traveling the world on my own and gaining new experiences.
I love plants and animals - I take care of lots of plants and our dog, and I really enjoy gardening. I’m also open to learn new practical and craft skills.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, being creative, meeting friends, and spending time outdoors.
I spent two months near Madrid, Spain, helping out at an animal sanctuary with many different animals. I learned a lot there and enjoyed it very much.
I recently stayed at Wonderwood in Beipu, Taiwan. The work was varied, and I was able to be creative and realize my own project ideas.
After that, I worked for three weeks in a beach bar in Kenting, Taiwan.
When I was in Cairns for two weeks, I helped out at a host's place with general maintenance, gardening, cleaning and similar tasks.

In high school, I chose biology as my core subject. I have many plants and enjoy propagating them for myself, friends, and family. I am open to new practical and craft skills.
In high school, I took a course where we worked with wood, among other things. We did various crafts, but also built birdhouses and insect houses. I also took an event management course where we planned and executed the high school's events.
I have some experience from short internships: one in the information technology industry, where I learned about various professions, and another in a workshop for people with disabilities, where we worked with felt and wood.
In the last two years I have also been giving math tutoring.
I volunteered for two months at an animal sanctuary in Spain and worked with cats, dogs and many different farm animals.
In Taiwan I stayed at a Recreation Center and helped with various tasks and I worked on some creative projects.
After that, I worked for three weeks in a beach bar in Kenting, Taiwan.
Then I was in Cairns and helped out with general maintenance, gardening, cleaning and similar tasks.
