WORLD TRIP!! Other Workawayers get in touch!

We’re on a world trip :) After quite a lot of planning and consideration we’ve taken the leap and have kicked off our long awaited tour around the planet.

Malta->Nepal->Central Asian Steppes->SE Asian->Japan->??  

My name is Grant, I’m a 31 year old well-travelled Canadian. I’m not new to Workaway having volunteered in Spain, Portgual, England and Scotland a few years ago - great experiences all around, feel free to contact the hosts in my reviews.   I’ve worked in a few industries relevant to Workaway - tourism & guiding, home building construction, service, animal care, gardening and admin. My formative years were spent in guiding and outdoorsmanship. I have a combined 4 years guiding and co-ordinating adventure trips into national parks across Canada, mostly in Ontario and Alberta, in canoe and on horseback. (So much to say in so little space) :)

I have no dietary or lifestyle restrictions and am not a smoker. I have no allergies. I have a driving license. I speak English and German.

I am a personable, well educated, adventure seeker, and am endlessly curious. Learning is my key drive here, the more I can experience, be involved in, and learn about, the happier I’ll be. This is a sliver of me, and I hope it paints somewhat of a clear picture as to my character and interests.

I am not at the moment much of a social media aficionado, but will add pictures to my profile as I find/take them. Thank you for you time, and any consideration.

We absolutely loved every time Grant stayed with us! Great company and has a fantastic positive attitude and 'can do' approach. He has many talents and skills and his time here with us has been invaluable. You can leave him a task and completely trust him to complete it. He is well behaved and house trained and we hope he comes back to see us soon!

I first arrived at the farm in the summer of 2018 with the agreement to stay for 2-3 weeks, after that short stay I returned, and then returned again 3 more times for an accumulated stay of roughly 3 months. Every time I returned it was because there are few other places I've found myself that are as comfortable, pleasant, and familial.

It will be difficult to sum up the positive experience I've had at Glynn and Julies over the past few weeks but I will do my best :)

Grant is an amazing person. In just two short weeks (we wished it could have been much longer) we achieved so much!!
He helped us with some roofing work to secure a leaking roof,this was done to a very high standard. We did some construction work, building store rooms and animal pens. Grant showed excellent skills in all areas of our work together… read more
