Hello
I live alone with my dog .on the Kråkerøy island which is well connected to the center of Fredrikstad.

I usually need some help in the garden during the summer time and occasionally to look after my dog ..i dont provide meals.,only accomodation.

it is mainly up to you, i am used With ppl of various backgrounds n cultures in the house as i was active in hosting ppl for quite a period of time both here and participating in couchsurfing earlier.

you will stay in my place . that is two rooms flat with a big garden.Basically a couch in the tv-room.the couch is not foldable..so only space for one person.

the place is around 3 kms from the very center of Fredrikstad. ideal for bike trips..nice nature around...Hvaler islands nearby.Oslo is one hour by train.the grocery shop is just across the street.
There is a lovely nature here on Kråkerøy with both the river and Oslo fjord .

What did I do during my stay?

In the garden, I leveled the grass, changed the line on the string mower, mowed the grass with both the mechanical and string mowers, watered the garden, first prepared and … read more set up the pole pruner, then used it to cut weeds, pulled weeds, planted flowers in both flower beds and pots, fertilized, loosened the soil, raked, sowed grass and flowers, painted the garden table and chairs, installed garden lights, improved the assembly and stabilization of the garden umbrella, and assembled the frame for the hammock. Then I was the guinea pig, testing the hammock. The first time I sat in it, or rather, tried to do it, I... in a moment was sitting on the ground. The second time, I had my hands ready to land on the ground – and that was a good idea, because they actually came in handy. The third attempt, however, was a complete success 😊. A little tip for hammock testers: you have to sit slowly. I also caught snails. Years later, I discovered that doing track and field (sprints) in college actually came in handy.

At home, in the bathroom, I was fixing the toilet seat and unclogging the sink drain. In the tool room, I was unclogging the sink drain. In the kitchen, I removed and installed the glass panels on the oven door because they needed cleaning.

While his owner was away, I kept a two-year-old Ibizan Hound (Podenco Ibicenco / Ibizan Warren Hound) company. I calmed him down before and after explosions. This is because in Norway, when the neighbors are building a house, sometimes you have to use dynamite. Among the more enjoyable things than explosions, we enjoyed ear-twisting, rubbing his pink muzzle, and blowing on his whiskers. The dog is well-behaved, friendly, and cheerful.

Renata always asked if I would be able to do this or that and if I was up to the task, so if I said I couldn't do something, I probably wouldn't have to do it.

Renata was helpful throughout my stay. If I asked for anything, she always helped. She let me use her bike, and I visited many interesting places. She suggested what to see in the area and told me about the attractions of these places. I visited these places, took tons of photos, and filmed many videos.

Renata suggested what food products to buy in Norway for myself or as gifts, and informed me on which products, in which store, and for how much. So I was full and happy, because a well-fed person is a happy person.

I teach children, teenagers, and adults online, and in June, the school year was still in session, so I needed a quiet place where I could do it. This was important to me. Renata arranged a space where I could easily conduct my lessons.

We agreed that I would cover my own meals, but she still treated me to fruit, sweets, freshly baked bread, homemade cakes, croissants, rolls, tarts, candy bars, and other local products.

Renata would be happy to host someone responsible.
