We can provide Second Year / 88 Day Visa sign-off for natural disaster recovery work.

    About Us
We are a couple living in the beautiful Picton region, about 60–90 minutes from Sydney, on two rural hobby farm properties.
Our main property is 40 acres of bushland with regular kangaroo visitors, fruit trees and open paddocks. Our second property is 6 acres closer to town, where our dogs and puppies are based.

This opportunity suits travellers who enjoy rural life and are comfortable working independently. Because we live between two properties and are sometimes away during the day, helpers need to be self-motivated and capable of completing tasks without close supervision.

The work involves outdoor property tasks and being around animals, so it suits people who enjoy practical work and spending time outside.

Our setup works particularly well for couples travelling together or independent travellers with practical skills who are happy living in a quiet rural environment.

    Lifestyle
Our property suits people who enjoy:
    • animals and nature
    • quiet rural surroundings
    • practical projects and outdoor work
    • having their own space and independence
    • no obligatory family dinners, outings etc. We are friendly, but also like our own space. We usually have 2 couples with us at a time, and find often they become friends and socialise together.

    Visa 88 Days Work
Our postcode 2571 qualifies for natural disaster recovery work for Working Holiday Visa holders.
We can provide the work and sign off for eligible travellers.

Our experience is suitable for people who love their own company and space, and don't want to be living closely with their hosts. You will have your own space and prepare your own meals, and we won’t always be working alongside you day to day. You may be at the house by yourself for most or some of your stay, or we may be there at times.

We provide a thorough tour and induction when you arrive, help you feel at home, and are in regular contact throughout your stay.

We’re always happy to share a chat when we cross paths and chat about farm life, animal care, and how things work here. If you're interested in puppies and dogs you will learn a lot about all things canine.

You will have a unique chance to experience rural Australia (Kangaroos included!) and observe the day to day rhythm of a working property with dogs, puppies, ponies, and chickens.

We also welcome Workawayers to share their own knowledge or stories, and we love hearing about different cultures, lifestyles, and skills when there's an opportunity.

    The Help We Need
We are looking for reliable and practical helpers who enjoy helping outdoors and being around animals.

Usually the female in the couple will be assigned to animal tasks. Typical tasks include:
    • Feeding dogs
    • Taking dogs for walks
    • Refilling waters
    • Poo pick up
    • Cleaning dog areas
    • Collecting chicken eggs, refilling chicken food and water, cleaning chicken coop
The are two animal 'shifts' per day, one is at 7am to 9am (and the remaining 3 hours being non animal tasks)
The second animal shift is 3pm to 8pm (different people doing each shift).

The other tasks on the property include:
    • Gardening
    • Clearing fallen branches and bushfire affected areas
    • Weeding, hedge trimming and small tree pruning
    • General outdoor maintenance
    • Fencing repairs
These tasks suit people who enjoy physical outdoor work and practical projects. Experience with tools, fencing, landscaping, farming or DIY work is very welcome. Many of the projects involve outdoor physical help and using tools, so this opportunity is best suited to travellers comfortable with hands on property tasks.

The start time for these tasks are flexible, and worked out with Troy based on weather and preferences.
