♥╣We can welcome between 20th and 30th of July guests with strenght, resistence to heat and good practical skills for help in the building of roof and windows of the new room, plus some earth plaster. From the 15th of September we can welcome people looking for a longer stay, starting from a month or so.╠♥

Hey! If you are an open hearted and energetic person (or family with 4-7 yo child) that is looking for an immersive experience of nature and self-sustainability living... you are invited to go on reading!
Who are we
We are a little family of three: Francesca and Sergio with our joyful 5 years old child, plus seasonal friends-hosts, living on a three hectares land 5 km from a little town in Lazio, between Tuscany and Rome. A magic land of wood and olive trees with caves and a river at some minutes of sloping walk, inhabited in the ancient past by Etruscan people.
We are refurbishing here a little building, have created the earthen floor, compost toilet, hydric system, phytodepuration... The house is off-the-grid, with solar electricity, rainwater collecting systems, etc.
We have to refurbish the last room with a new roof and make the final plaster on the outside wall of all the building.
We are open minded, love to learn and connect with ourself, others, nature.
We take care in every aspect of life and that is also why we love to handicraft and do by ourselves what we need, as much as possible.
Our project is live consciously, fully and joyfully every moment of our journey. Permaculture and conscious breath help us in that.
Francesca do artisanal works, mainly basketery and sewing, and sometimes works as a cook and event planner.
Sergio do organic extravergine olive oil, beer, wine, bread, fermented food...
Before this country life we both have worked many years in the cities as copy editors and other "mental" jobs.
Our doughter, she is a wonderful soul, goes three days a week to a democratic school in the nature, loves to help, cook and play with water and earth and flowers and friends :) She is very kind, energetic but respectful.
Who we can host
Our place is open for wild animals, even humans. We often welcome here old and new friends that want to share with us energy and creativity.
We offer accomodation and food for 4-5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week. Depending of the lenght of the staying - preferably long, with a trial of some days - we can arrange time in different ways, suitable for all.
We are very careful about waste and ecology and we ask for the same attention, that it means for example save water as possible.
We are vegan oriented and we prefer that guests don't bring here any meat or junk food.
This is a place for people independent, strong, with practical skills, happy to work outside all the time even with not idilliac weather condition, able to express themselves, peaceful and possibly... with some sense of humor ;)
We love to host families too, with children in the age 4-7.

At the train stops of Montalto di Castro or Viterbo you can take a bus Cotral (Cotralspa.it) to our town (name in private message). Please check timetable in advance and call the Cotral +39 800174471 to double check.

While living in the beauty, you can learn how to live in an ecological way.
More: some Italian language, basketery basics, permaculture basics, olive tree cure, building stuff, learn from children how to live simply, laugh and rest!
Depending on your skills and talents and needs we can decide toghether what role you can cover in our project.
Building stuff with woods, help in the building of the new room, maintenance.
Creative play in a junior role in our outdoor education little project: only if you really feel you want to spend your time on children as a commitment for the present-future.
Gardening; pruining; watering.
Project and realize the painting inside-out our hosting campervan.

We can host
in our roulotte with bed, table, kitchen and a simple bathroom with basic compost toilet, usb recharge system and electricity (2 persons plus a child maximum)
or
in a wooden supertiny house (1 person max)
or
in your private van or tent.
In any case the only shower is outside an plain air.
You can take a long walk in the wood, go to the river, to near archeological sites, observe yourself in peace and silence in the wood...
Or you can take our bike and/or a bus and go around, there us so much to see and do! A lot of nice events all the year and places.
This is a straordinary land full of very ancient history and at the same time wild nature. We are sorrounded by woods ("Riserva Naturale Selva del Lamone") with waterfalls and pathways to archeological sites (Rofalco, Castro, Vulci); at 15 minutes by car from natural thermal water (and one hour to the best that is for us "Terme di S. Filippo") and beatiful waterfalls (es. Cascata del Salabrone) and lakes (Lago di Bolsena, Lago di Mezzano); 20-30 minutes - always by car - to ancient towns, like Pitigliano, Bolsena and Sorano; 30 minutes from seaside like Argentario and mountains Amiata.
In this area there are also interesting local tiny museums ("Simulabo").
Farnese in itself it's a very small town, but nice and usually welcoming.

You can connect with your own devices and phone company, with tethering as we do. You can work in the roulotte, with our usb recharger. But we prefer people who can also relax from the stress of internet...
