Hi, we are a family of 5 Matej, Greta, Izabel, Nikolaj and cat Mija:)
We are an open, warm and friendly family that loves nature, its beauty and everything related to it. We speak Slovenian, English, Italian and Serbo-Croatian.
Last year, in December 2022, we moved into a newly renovated house in Dolenja Trebuša. We live in the countryside, with beautiful hills and crystal clear rivers and streams, where for once you can hold water in the palm of your hand and quench your thirst almost at every step. We have 3ha of land, 1ha of which is meadows, the rest is forest. We also have 2 wells of drinking water and 2 streams on the plot, which separate our land and the neighbor's land. The house is set back from the main local road 40m towards the hill, and the first neighbor is 200m away, so we all have plenty of freedom :)
We eat mostly vegetarian and vegan food, but sometimes kids also want to have something else on the menu.
By growing and processing food, we try to be as self-sufficient as possible, which is why we have made raised beds and a smaller field.

The place where we live is permeated with stories from ancient times. Nearby, according to many, the melody of a flute made by a Neanderthal from an animal bone, found in one of our caves, was heard for the first time. The surrounding countryside has a rich history, marked by the conquests of foreign nations and the wars that raged through the now peaceful hills and valleys.
We have a rich tradition of traditions, customs, dancing, singing and excellent local cuisine.
We look forward to exchanges with you, opinions, conversations and your views on this world of ours.

Ayuda
Since we have already built our home, help would be useful with exterior help, landscaping and some small construction (gardens, raised beds, terrace, herb garden, rockeries, clearing the forest, ...).
We have two children, aged 8 and 11, who would need company (care) in July and August when they are at home for the school holidays. Cooking or food preparation skills are desired, we provide the food and ingredients.

We have children who would like to learn English and other foreign languages.
Alojamiento
We have one bedroom with a double bed available for you to use. We will share the bathroom, kitchen and toilets, but we also have an outdoor toilet and summer kitchen.
You can also camp with us, or come with a motorhome. It is desirable that you have your own transport. The first grocery store is 6 km away, the first petrol station is 13 km away and larger shopping centers are 19 km away (Tolmin).
We also have two inns in the vilage, one of which is open all the time, the other only on weekends.

You will not be bored during your free time with us. We live near the river Trebuščica, which is a few steps away and is a pleasant retreat on hot summer days.
If you want a little more intimacy, Trebuščica hides countless and wonderful corners in the upper reaches. The tributaries of the river are a destination by themselves, with their pools and waterfalls they conjure up a fairy tale atmosphere.
You can find the sights of Trebuša and the surrounding areas on the Internet (Pršjak waterfall, Gačnik gorge, Makčeva grapa, sulfur springs, White waters, Podkobilški bridge, ...and on and on)
A short drive away you will find - Divje babe, Cerkno, Idrija, Kolovrat, Tolmin, Baška grapa, Šentviška plateau, Kobarid, Bovec, Trenta...
The beautiful places, the heritage, the history and the gentleness of the people who live here will surely charm you to come back again.
If you don't have transportation, we can also drive somewhere together during the weekend.
