  Welcome to the Landes region :) Since 2011, I've been hosting volunteers. Here, we live simply, between gardening, baking, and sharing. Right now, we're working on the garden: planting fruit trees and shrubs, weeding, and setting up a shared vegetable patch with the neighbors. We bake bread and pastries twice a week. We're also renovating our future A-frame house: installing paneling and doing small DIY projects. We're using recycled materials, both for environmental reasons and because we have very limited resources. We're also working on a project for 2027: emergency housing for women who are victims of domestic violence. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay for at least 15 days and lend a hand, you've come to the right place. What we offer: A private caravan with a private composting toilet and a shared bathroom. Vegetarian meals are shared with joy. Here, we recycle, both materials and food. We have a zero-waste plan. We're happy to share our baking/pastry/recipes if you're interested. There's a lake 15 minutes away and the beach is an hour away (by car if you have a vehicle). It's a family atmosphere, based on respect and mutual support. What we need: 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Flexible hours (just early mornings in the summer because it's hot). The main tasks: gardening, weeding, and clearing brambles in the sun. It's physical but rewarding. Twice a week: chopping/stacking wood for our bread oven. Help with baking if you're interested in learning. Currently: helping with paneling/DIY projects for the A-frame house. Everything is done together in a friendly atmosphere. It's hot here from mid-May to the end of September. You need to enjoy that and be in good physical condition. One important detail: I have a physical disability/back problem. I share information, organize, and cook, but I can't always physically exert myself. That's precisely why your independent presence is so valuable. We'll adapt together, without judgment, to each person's pace. Who we're looking for: Helpful, motivated people who are environmentally conscious, supportive, and resourceful. Independent and kind. A basic level of French is required, as my father, whom I care for, lives here and loves to chat. Important: There's no Wi-Fi/TV here (you'll need a 4G or 5G data plan). If you enjoy reading, writing, drawing, playing music, or simply contemplating nature, you'll be in heaven. Bring some books or a solo activity for your downtime; you'll be comfortable.   Bienvenue dans les Landes :)
  
  Depuis 2011, j accueille des volontaires , ici on vit simplement, entre jardin, boulange et partage.
  
  En ce moment on aménage le jardin, plantation d’arbres fruitiers, d’arbustes, désherbage, mise en place d’un potager commun avec les Voisins.
  
  On Boulange, et on pâtissent aussi deux fois par semaine.
  
  On aménage notre future maison en A : pose lambris, petit bricolage. On fait aussi avec des matériaux de récupération, par souci d’écologie, et aussi parce qu’on a des tout petits moyens.
  
  Et on porte un projet pour 2027 un hébergement d’urgence pour femmes victimes de violences intrafamiliales.
  
  Si tu cherches un endroit calme pour poser tes valises au moins 15 jours et donner un coup de main concret, tu es au bon endroit.
  
  Ce qu’on propose ensemble :
  
  Une caravane privée avec toilettes sèches privatif + salle de bain commune. Repas végétariens partagés avec joie. Ici, on fait de la récup, autant sur les matériaux que sur l’alimentation . On a un plan 0 gaspi.
  Transmission de la boulange/pâtisserie/recettes si ça t’intéresse.
  
  Il y a un Lac à 15min et la plage est à 1h ( de voiture si tu es véhiculé)
  
  Ambiance famille , respect, entraide.
  
  Ce dont on a besoin :
  5h/jour, 5j/7. Horaires flexibles (juste tôt le matin l’été car il fait chaud)
  
  Le cœur du travail : jardin, désherbage, dé-ronçage sous le soleil. C’est physique mais gratifiant.
  2x/sem : couper/ranger le bois pour notre four à pain.
  Aide à la boulange si ça t’intéresse d apprendre
  
  En ce moment :
  aide pose lambris/bricolage pour la maison en A.
  
  Tout est fait ensemble et dans la bonne humeur.
  
  Mi-mai à fin septembre il fait chaud ici. Il faut aimer ça et avoir une bonne condition physique.
  
  Petite précision importante : j’ai un handicap physique/dos. Je transmets, j’organise, je cuisine, mais je ne peux pas toujours forcer physiquement. C’est justement pour ça que ta présence autonome est précieuse. On s’adapte ensemble, sans jugement, au rythme de chacun.
  
  Qui on cherche :
  Des personnes aidantes, motivées, sensibles à l’écologie, la solidarité et la débrouille .
  Autonomes et bienveillantes.
  
  Français parlé un minimum car mon papa dont je m’occupe vit ici et adore échanger .
  
  Important :
  Pas de wifi/TV ici ( prévoir un forfait 4G ou 5G ) .
  Si tu aimes lire, écrire, dessiner, jouer de la musique ou juste contempler la nature, tu vas te régaler.
  Prévois quelques bouquins ou une activité solo pour les moments off, tu seras bien.

  - helping my father with tasks where he has difficulty when I can't do it (rare), like taking him to the media library, chatting with him, cooking if I'm not there
  - some de-mowing to do
  - planting fruit trees, deciduous trees and hedges
  - Anything related to landscaping (green spaces, small constructions for shelters, etc.)
  - making good cakes with us if you're interested
  - cutting and storing wood (all year round)
  
  - In the spring, preparing summer seedlings and planting, watering
  
  - If you have the skills, there is also maintenance of tools and machines (cars, mixers, etc.)

  - L'été , on a besoin surtout d' aide pour du jardinage, nettoyage et boulange
  
  Le reste du temps :
  - aider mon père pour des taches où il a des difficultés quand je ne peux pas le faire (rare) , comme l'amener à la médiathèque, discuter avec lui, cuisiner si je ne suis pas là
  - du dé-roncage à faire
  - plantation d'arbres fruitiers, arbres feuillus et haies
  - Tout ce qui a un rapport avec de l’aménagement de sol (espaces verts, petites construction pour abri etc...)
  - faire avec nous de bons gâteaux si ça vous intéresse
  - couper et ranger du bois (toute l'année)
  
  - Au printemps, préparation de semis d'été et plantation, arrosage
  
  - Si vous avez les compétences, il y a aussi de la maintenance d'outils et machines (voitures, pétrins...etc)

  Alojamiento

  We have a private caravan with a double bed and electricity inside. There is also a private dry toilet inside. If needed, there are also tents with comfortable mattresses. In the bakehouse (which currently serves as our kitchen and living area), there is a bathroom and a washing machine. Internet access will be via your phone as there is no Wi-Fi on site.
  
  
  Nous avons une caravane privative avec un grand lit et l’électricité à l’intérieur. Il y a aussi des toilettes sèches privatives à l’intérieur.
  
  Si besoin, il y a aussi des tentes avec matelas confortable.
  
  Dans le fournil (qui nous sert pour le moment de cuisine et lieu de vie) il y a une salle de bain et une machine à laver.
  
  L’accès internet se fera avec votre téléphone car il n'y a pas de wifi sur place.
