Hello dear traveller,
We are a couple (Fabienne & Martin) living and working in Roveredo, a small village in the Swiss Mountains. Since the beginning of this year we are also new and proud parents to our daughter Aluna.
Our House, garden and vineyard could need your helping hands. =)
We used to do a lot of Workaways ourselves while backpacking in Thailand and bike packing in New Zealand and Canada. During our Workaways, we made some of our most cherished memories of our trip. That's one reason we want to be hosts now as well. 😊
We would love to get to know you, and we would love to show you our place we call home.

You would get to know our place, and you would have a lot of time to explore all the beautiful places Switzerland has to offer.
Our native language is Swissgerman, but where we live in Switzerland, the native language is Italian. We are still learning the basic here =) But we can communicate in German, English and a little French.
We are open to show you or point you to some of our favourite places – depending on where your interests lie.

Our Projects for the year 2024 🥰
> Garden and Vineyard project ⛰
Here we would like to create a more permaculture like garden which grows food and has some animals in the future and also to make it a more whimsical place to relax and enjoy nature. Our Vision with the vineyard is to transform our vineyard into a biodynamic "berry-good", which has all different kinds of berries and other vegetables growing in the vineyard.
Your help would be appreciated:
- lots and lots of weeding 😁
- tending to the stone walls (cleaning them out from weeds and ivy)
- watering the garden
- cutting grass
- planting
- landscaping
- building garden bed's
- preparing a place for future chickens
- new ideas and your wishes are more than welcome =)
If you have experience or expertise with natural stone walls, that would be very helpful. Because we are very new to this and could use some guidance. =)
> The Babysitting and Household project🙃
We love to have a smooth and low maintenance household. So we would like some help with running our household and taking care of our little baby. It would be nice to have some help with cleaning, cooking, baking, do some washing and all the things going on in a household. We would love to have somebody who would like to spend some hours with our baby, and if you speak Italian, it is a big plus for us. 🥰
Here we could use your help with:
- helping with the household
- babysitting our little one
- cooking meals and baking
- cleaning
- preparing and cleaning our bnb
- sanding wood beams in our downstairs flat
- beautify the house with art
- new ideas and your wishes are more than welcome =)
If you can imagine helping with the garden or the house or even both..we would love to welcome you here to our little family. ☀️
If you choose to live and work with us for some time, we would like to split the everyday chores like cooking, cleaning, washing etc.

We would love to learn new languages, at the moment we are learning Italian because we moved to the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. So if you are fluent in Italian, we would love to learn from you. Our native language is Swissgerman, and we are both speaking German, English and a little French. Therefore, we could help you with learning German or English.
Alojamiento
You will have your own bedroom and bathroom in our house. The Kitchen will be shared.
If it works for you, we would like to offer food (vegetarian), if it is okay for you to alternate cooking and washing up. Depending on how you like to organize your day, you can have breakfast with us or prepare something for yourself at your own time. We would appreciate the opportunity to enjoy a meal together from time to time...if you like that as well. 😊 For Lunch and Dinner we could alternate with cooking, if you are around, if you are of going out to explore something you are free to prepare yourself a picnic to go.

Roveredo is located within the southern Swiss Alps, just where mild southern climate meets high mountains. It is a place where wine grows in front of snow-capped mountains. If you are into hiking or biking, there are endless beautiful valleys to see and explore. If you are more the cultural type, the city Bellinzona, capital of Canton Ticino, is only 10 km away. From there you will reach Locarno, Ascona, Lugano and its lakes within less than an hour. Bellinzona is also the gateway to reach Milano or the German part of Switzerland like Lucerne or Zurich.

Their house is just a little bit outside of Roveredo, we could reach the Village center in a 10 min walk. We had a car, so it was easy to move to the surroundings, the region is beautiful, so green and still fresh in summer.
