 - Descripción- we are rebuilding our chalet in the Alps mountains in France, as it was burnt a few years ago. We are an international couple, and our children all live in their own places around the world.
 - Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje- Construcción y bricolaje
 - Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje- We live in the French Alps, in the mountains. You will be able to learn amateur woodworking to a reasonable standard, the use of equipment, design and realisation of wood projects. You will also discover the warm culture of the people in the valley, learn or polish up your french, practice outdoors sports such as mountain climbing, ski hiking or alpine ski, and live the life in the mountains.
 - Proyectos con niños- En este proyecto podría haber niños. Para obtener más información, consulta nuestras directrices y consejos aquí.
 - Ayuda- I need help with woodworking. Our chalet burnt 4 years ago It has been rebuilt, but we still need to do many things such as kitchen, cabinet etc...
No previous experience with woodworking is needed. If you have it you bring it, if you haven't, you'll gain it!

 - Alojamiento- your own room with private bathroom, and view of the mountains
 - Algo más...- our chalet is somewhat retired. You can walk to the nearby villages, but larger town can only be reached by private car or public transports (there are a few buses everyday). However, the nearby ski resorts ensure that there is a continual flow of people, from France or abroad.
We have internet, but have a cap on data exchange. Watching full length movies is a luxury and mean we may blow our limit. However, communication with your family and friends is no problem.
smoking is outside, and we try to keep the house clean (not easy with the works!)
I am retired, after having worked in many countries around the world, and my wife is from Philippines. We also often have visitors (family, friends...) and the people around our house are a nice bunch of friends.

It was very easy to get along in the house, and both of them were very enthusiastic for the work at hand. Christophe being a professional cabinet maker and carpenter, the work progressed very quickly and I learnt so many things in the process!
