  We are a family of 7, Papa- Sebastian, Mama- Cyra, Elias-12, Lorenzo-9 and Clara-7, Camilo- 2 and baby Joaquin- 5 months. We currently live on 50 acres near to Drumheller, AB. We have just moved into our dream property and are picking away at turning it into our own little corner of homesteading heaven! Can you say "who wants to play outside!!!?"
  We spend most days outside working, playing, jumping on the trampoline, having family bonfires and loving the good Lord above through it all.
  
  About us-
  
  Sebastian is the kind of guy who likes to measure three times! He is a structural engineer by day, bullfighter by night, artist, salsa dancer, Latin American... Cyra says "boo ya!!?"
  
  Cyra is hippie offspring and loves all things natural, healthy and loves to learn the dirty work of driving heavy machinery, running chainsaws and doing all the well planned out things Sebastian tells her to.
  
  Our 5 little ones love to play around and be part of the action.
  Elias, 11 (almost 12), is very outgoing and will talk with anyone willing to listen and share. He is so sweet, loves to learn and be part of the teaching of things, and is ALWAYS out to make a heart connection.
  Lorenzo, 9, would love if someone would play imaginary games and build things with him all day. He is a sweet, tender boy who loves to make you laugh and is a hard worker. He feels big feelings.
  Clara, 7, will smile at anyone and everyone who walks by, is exceptionally independent, soft and also willing to butcher a deer. She loves all animals and to be cold and Grampa.
  Camilo, 2, will make you bust a gut at every second. He's full of hilarious dance moves, quirky sayings and funny voices. He is independent but loves his Mama and playing cars quietly on the couch.
  Joaquin, 5 months (in August), is full of smiles and a very easy going baby.
  
  We are fluent in both Spanish and English. Language exchange welcomed!

  Culturally we feel blessed and rich. Between Sebastian’s Latin American growing up, Cyra’s wild and woolly parents, our faith and our different professions and hobbies (everything from horse therapy; to engineering; to our love of the fine arts; to how the body works best; to fitness; to music) we are able to offer exposure in all these areas! We welcome any questions and great conversation.
  
  As for the actual situation of our acreage, we are 5 minutes from the bustling, popular and TINY hamlet of Rosebud. World renowned for it's fine arts school as well as professional theatre. Within 40 minutes in many directions you can access Drumheller (dinosaur capital of the World), Strathmore, small town libraries, rodeos and other fun, rural Albertan charm. The well known city of Calgary, Calgary airport and other attractions are only an hour away. The famous Rocky Mountains are only 2.5 hours away.

  Some items we're looking for help with-
  
  1. On the child care side- A large part of what we need here is someone safe, kind and gentle to look after them while we work. We believe strongly in positive parenting and feel most comfortable leaving our kids in the care of people who value life at all ages and see the relationship as a give and take in both directions. In this area we will do more in-depth checking in order to ensure we feel confident leaving them in the care of others and that the other feels confident in caring for them. Ideally we will hope for someone with professional experience around kids.
  
  2. Cooking- we love to eat well, healthy and learn new cuisine! So anyone who is willing to cook is welcome to take on the task! We don't eat a ton of gluten.
  
  3. Animal Care- We are currently setting up our chicken/goat coop. We hope to have them by the end of August. So dependent on when you come, you may be helping restore the shed to chicken/goat worthy, or helping us learn and work with the animals. We are new to it all, and we are always eager to learn from experience!
  
  4. When we bought the home we live in, the previous owner had collected and stored a LOT of wood, tools, and other useful items. We are looking to sort through, throw out garbage and organize all items in both our shop and barn and would love the help with this.
  
  Other duties may include- fence installation, prep/improve and/or clean Air BnB space, garden care, preserving items, help install solar, mechanics and any other basic farm/homestead duties.
  
  We are fluent in both Spanish and English.

  We can provide a small out building that is outfitted for BnB/ HomeExchange and currently has a double bed and comfortable pull out couch. If it becomes rented, we have tents and all necessary sleeping mats/bags to accomodate in our orchard.

  We have Starlink, great connectivity and access from many areas of the property.
