Marie was an absolute joy to add to our staff at the Park! She was ready to work, willing to learn new tasks, and finished projects that she started. We enjoyed getting to know her on a personal level as well, finding so many things to talk and laugh about. I would definitely recommend Marie for another workaway position with us or anyone else!

WE LOVE ANDREA!
She came to us a little shy but full of energy and ready to learn! Our small staff is always working outside our "assigned" areas, and Andrea fit in perfectly. She helped in the kitchen, with housekeeping, lawn maintenance, and anywhere else she was needed. She was excited about all the little things involved with a new experience

As director, I was so pleased to have a workaway that could come in and not only be a part of our staff family, but also trust to do what was assigned to her. She always went above and beyond!
I am so glad that Andrea picked us as her first workaway experience and I hope she will come back someday!

I really lucked out having this place as my first Workaway placement. The entire staff - I cannot speak highly enough of every single individual. They all care so much about their parts in maintaining the camp and its overall functioning. I learned so many things from the best!

I mainly assisted in the kitchen and occasionally helped with housekeeping. My little cabin became my home so quickly. Just an fyi ... The restroom is outside the cabin, very closeby. Took me over a week to work up the courage to venture out of my safe haven in the middle of the night to use the restroom. I'm sure that won't be an issue for most people, but I'm a baby, so thought I'd share for fellow babies :-)
I think it would be beneficial to have your own vehicle, as I did not. Uber is not accessible from camp. I did get a ride from a transportation service one day to head into Livingston, and that was great.
I was at the camp for a little over two weeks, and my heart will never be the same. These people, the mountains, the daily deer sightings, the variety of groups that came to visit, and so much more became a part of me, and I'll forever be so very grateful!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Glen and Kathy were truly a gift to our camp! They arrived at a time when we needed them to fill a critical role, and jumped right in "with both feet" to learn their jobs and excel at them. It was great that Kathy had previously worked in camp settings and had so much experience that she could share - especially an "eye for detail" on what makes

They also enjoyed exploring all that the Paradise Valley had to offer - and had rich experiences on their time off. We will especially remember our evenings at the Lodge or the Campfire - sharing stories and good times! We would definitely recommend Glen and Kathy for other Workaway host!

We had a great month-long experience in Paradise Valley!
The camp literally borders a National Forest, and is part of the Yellowstone ecosystem, so you are staying in a jaw-droppingly beautiful location. There are all kinds of hiking and river-related activities nearby, and on our days off (some days were half days, some were full days, and
… read more sometimes we had multiple days off in a row - it all more or less depends upon how many groups of people are in the camp) we were able to go as far as Glacier National Park to explore the area.
The camp consists of a number of cabins and lodges, some dating back nearly 100 years, that surround a large meadow with a large meeting and dining hall at the end. The property has abundant wildlife ranging from deer to owls and everything in between. It's rustic but comfortable, and there was no problem in getting something to eat. That's important because it was about a 35 mile roundtrip to the nearest town, Livingston!
In our case the work was basically doing whatever needed to be done to keep the camp maintained and improved. Always a lot of cleaning (centering around cleaning cabins after groups of guests had left, maintaining guest bath houses, etc), sometimes helping out in the kitchen when there were large groups in camp, and - as you can imagine - there is no end to the maintenance and upkeep projects that can be done on a 100 year old property in the middle of the woods! But it was all done in a beautiful setting, and working with and around some great folks in a great area.
Steve and Amy, who run the camp, are fantastic people who are really hard working and dedicated to making the experience there great for their paid employees and Workawayers. They worked with us on schedules to make sure we had time to explore the area, and many times we all would explore, socialize, and sit around the campfire together. There was a lot of work to be done, but also great camaraderie and a great atmosphere all the way around.
It was a great work-stay experience and we would 100% do it again.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We were truly blessed to have Quinn and Hallie as Workawayers! They had great attitudes, worked hard, and enjoyed exploring the Paradise Valley area. They also got along great with the other staff and our guests. We would definitely recommend them for other Workaway hosts!
This was a life-changing experience!
My friend, Hallie, and I stayed for a month back in the summer of 2022. The time we spent at here will forever be some of our most cherished memories. Located in a quiet valley near Livingston, Montana, the camp has close access to beautiful hiking trails and is not too far from State Parks such as Yellowstone
… read more and the Tetons. With beautiful sunsets over the mountains in the distance, I will always remember drinking tea on the porch while watching the dear in the fields at dusk.
Most of the work we did consisted of cleaning, but we also helped out in the kitchen or gardening as well. We had two days off every week and Steve was always very understanding that the two of us would want the same days off to explore. The camp is definitely older so be prepared for log cabin-style buildings, but both of us were able to have our own cabins that were clean and well-furnished. The work is not that tough and usually doesn't take long if you are willing to work hard.
The camp had some of the kindest people you will meet. Steve and Amy are so welcoming and immediately make guests feel at home. They are both so passionate about the work they do, and it creates a great work environment! The group of staff is pretty small with only about 7-10 people at a time, but it quickly feels like a little family!
I would highly recommend this work away for anyone considering it! You definitely won't regret it!Help at a non-profit farm and center for sustainable living in beautiful Southern Illinois, USA
