Stein Ole‘s a very calm and kind person and wanted us to feel comfortable. His place was our first workaway experience and we learned a lot of things!
We went fishing pretty often after he thought us how to row a boat. We also learned to prepare the fish and helped with cooking sometimes. Repainting the windows was also one of our tasks and we had

But we had much free time as well. Either we read, played games with Stein Ole or did the puzzle we found at his place.
On the weekend, we visited his daughters & Ex and it was a pleasure to meet them! We went to Oslo and got see the most important sights!
We also went to a national park, where he dropped us off & picked us up later - it was an amazing experience!
In general, Stein Ole drove us to the train station and also picked us up when we arrived.
Thanks for the great time, we gained a lot of new skills!

I hosted Wil and Bliksem (his dog) for 2 weeks in late june. Wil is a very Nice and polite person. He is also very skilled in different technical work. I was fun to work with Wil. Always positive and looking for ways to do thing better.
His dog was Just incredeble calm, and it was Just lovely to see them together when their played.

In the time i was traveling with my dog through Norway for 3 months(i still am😁) i had a workawayexperience for 2 weeks in juni at Steins place.It was my first workawayexperience and it was great.The kinds of work we did; making a manual operated hay baler,cutting the grass and spreading it out,making a hay wal,collecting the hay into the
… read more barn,planting trees in the forest.In the free time we did nice things together like visiting the Bygdenmuseum,going to the animal park where i also met the daughters from Stein and his ex,making a nice hike,going out fishing together with his rowing boat.I have got known Stein as as easy going, hardworking man who has the goal to be as self supporting as possible by growing his own vegetables and fruits.We had nice talks and good meals together.I want to say thank you for this experience Stein and maybe we will meet again Vennlig hilsen

Sakhr was here for about a week. I experienced a man who was proper, positiv and pleasant. He has great knowledge and curiosity for other cultures and languages and it was interesting to talk to him about this. He carried out his work with Great entusiasme and was also helpful in the house hold. I can highly recommend Sakhr to other hosts.

I spent my first time ti workaway in Stein's little farm, in aa beautiful village, about an hour and a half from Oslo. I got to experience the Norwegian culture quite close. He was a very kind and understanding gentleman. He even offered to take to the nearby local zoo. You have your privacy all time in a spreat room. Highly recommend.

To my very first workaway experience Stein Ole hosted me for 3 amazing weeks on his farm. He is a lovely, funny, educated person and most importantly cares about the safety of the workawayers.
I was there during December and we were mainly clearing windfalls due to the winter storms. It is not a typical job though. He has many many projects around

Due to the long daylight here, we had plenty of time to talk and I can assure you, he is always up to some nice conversation!

Stein's little Farm was very calm and peaceful. I stayed there for 18 days and I enjoyed every single day.
We did most of the work in his applegarden, now it looks like a garden again, after years of moderate attention.
On the weekends we met up with his family. Once we visited Langedrag, the nearby nature park. The other weekend we went to Oslo

But because it is a very old building, it can be cold during the late fall and winter. He only has limited internet access because of that I didn’t want to use it to much. That's why I used my phone almost only for texting. In this way I had more time for other things like reading, it was a nice alternative. We talked a lot about our home countries (Norway and Germany) and life in general which was diversified and interesting.
I had a great time with Stein and his lovely Family.
