We are looking for couples or friends to help us on our farm . I am English and my wife is Colombian and we have two teenage kids , three cats and three dogs and ten chickens. We both work outside the farm and need some help with everyday jobs and bigger projects. The farm is located between San Gil and Barichara and is accessible by regular buses. Apart from the farmhouse we have a few yurts and domes, a shared kitchen, a natural swimming pool, a large dining room, a working space, excellent WiFi, dry toilets and solar showers. We used to have a glamping hostel but now just have volunteers and long term residents. We sometimes host events. The farm consists of 120 citrus trees, some coffee plants, some other fruit trees, a veggie and herb garden, and 10 chickens .
In exchange for 4 hours work, we offer accommodation in a geodesic dome or yurt. Yo'll have access to all the amenities mentioned above.
The work is mostly garden work, construction, maintenance, or artistic stuff.
Volunteers must have a good level of either English or Spanish.
We expect all our volunteers to have a proper working attitude as you would in any other job. We welcome all volunteers into our family and we treat them very fairly and respectfully, and in exchange we expect them to do what we ask of them in the best way they can.

There is loads to do in the area: hiking, rivers, waterfalls, colonial villages and extreme sports and you will plenty of time to do them during the day.
The hostel is remote but accessible, 15mins walk from the bus route. Buses pass every 15 mins to San Gil (15 mins away) , Barichara (20mins away) and Villanueva (20 mins away) .

We have a WiFi zone, which is an open space with a roof, tables and electrical points. It has a spectacular mountain view and is close to the toilet, restaurant and natural swimming pool.

We had a great time and could work on a variety of different projects/ tasks in a short amount of time. Justin and Andrea are very nice and they prepare the best Curry dishes you can imagine (seriously, make sure to try the food).

Our stay was amazing ! The place is wonderful with very good and beautiful comodities. Justin and Andrea were super welcoming and clear with the tasks we had to do. Faye and Jason were amazing volunteers. They were really keen to help in any situation, very polite and respectful, good company and generally great to have around. I had a really nice week volunteering here. Justin, Andrea and their 2 kids are lovely people! The setting is peaceful and gorgeous, perfect for relaxing after 4 hours of work. They have an amazing place a little out of the town but cheap, quick and easy by bus and you're surrounded by nature, waterfalls, forest and animals. The other volunteers were so nice as well as the guests. Definitely stay here even if you don't get a chance to volunteer!

Me lo pasé muy bien aqui. Es un lugar espacioso, donde puedes pasar el tiempo de forma agradable, también hay mucho que ver en los alrededores. We had a great time! Justin and his family are awesome!! They are lovely and friendly, and the place is amazing property!!
There's too much to do in the sorrounding areas. We enjoy preparing breakfast (you enjoy breakfast with the guests) the "arepas" are delicious ;) and also working on the garden.

We had a great time here. Justin and Andrea are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Our two weeks just flew by and we already miss this place and all the animals (especially Reggie).

Where do we start. What an amazing and rewarding experience working with Justin and Andrea for just over two weeks was. Sebrena was an excellent worker and fun to have around. I showed her how to make our breakfast just once and he took over breakfast duties immediately and made perfect breakfasts every time. She also really helped with our vegetable garden and taught me quite a lot. Excellent all round!

Joe and Emma were excellent workers. They always did what was asked of them and often more! That included construction , repairing things, cleaning, looking after dogs and goats. They looked after our hostel for two weeks. They are good company too. Highly reccommended!

We stayed with these guys for a month and had an amazing time. The family are lovely and the place is something out of a dream. The views are to die for. The guys had us doing all sorts of interesting projects so we were kept busy. You must try the heart shaped arepas.yummy. good luck guys with everything we will come see you again x

Zach was a very good volunteer, always willing to do whatever was asked of him with no fuss and he got the jobs done well and efficiently. He was very good company and easygoing, he got on really well with the other guests and also our kids, even helping out at our daughters birthday party. Thanks!

Of the three workaways I've completed, this one is head and shoulders the best. Andrea and Justin are super friendly and welcoming and have adorably nice kids to boot. The hostel itself is a gorgeous property and there is literally too much stuff to do in the surrounding areas. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Cancelled on me with a weeks worth of notice after many back and forths and a definitive date being set weeks prior. Not his fault i presume as he said his brother is coming for a number of months. Just a bit frustrating having had passed up other opportunities in leu of expecting work here.
