  We are Martin (34) and Gloria (32), a couple from Germany. Since three years, we are running a biodynamic Tea plantation on the north side of São Miguel - a beautiful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
  
  Our Plantation is located in Lomda da Maia. It lies right above Praia da Viola, a beautiful Beach with Watermills, Waterfalls, and multiple Hiking Trails at our doorstep. This is also where we are living and still renovating a Ruin. The renovation is nearly finished, but sometimes the construction needs focus and help as well. Right now, we require help painting the security doors and building up the kitchen. If you have experience with wood, would be really great! ;)
  
  The workawayers will not be working at the plantation - just at our private fruit and vegetable garden at our house.
  
  
  Outdoors, we have a big field, which we want to transform to our vegetable garden - it would be very nice, to have some help by preparing the soil and the beets. Moreover, we want to plant a lot of threes to have a forest one day :)
  
  The guesthouse, where you will stay, is located in Maia a small but charming town, with its own beach a few bars, Restaurants, multiple small shops and even a museum. The house is 10-15mins walking from the ocean as well as Cha Gorreana and has a small garden and an enjoyable terrace. Right now we have three bedrooms to host three to six people. The house in Maia needs some renovation and preparation as well. So the accommodation will be more nicely for all the volunteers in the future. Since the house in Maia is just for volunteers, you are also responsible for cleaning.
  
  The accommodation includes vegan/vegetarian lunch as well. Every day, one of us will prepare a fresh and healthy meal — that's also one of the available tasks! ;)
  
  We are looking forward to getting in contact with people, having different experience and abilities in life. Since we have an abundance of possible tasks, you can choose what interests you most, where you want to expand your knowledge or where you can share your abilities with us.

  On the biodynamik plantation are three local employees. They will help you with any problem you have during your stay.

  Alojamiento

  Pretty much everything you need, Washing Machine, Internet, Dishwasher etc..
  We have 3 bedrooms and one room where we could put another mattress/bed. So depending how you want split it, there is space for 3-6 Persons.

  There are a lot of hiking trails with waterfalls, beaches and beatiful nature around Maia and the nearby area for you to explore.
  The famous Tea Plantation Cha Gorreana is right around the corner.
  Furnas with its hots springs and lake are just a 20min drive away. In the same time you can reach ribeira grande if you like to surf.

  In our House in Maia we have a fibre connection and corresponding Wifi. We also have a Dog, which is lovely, but also has a lot of energy! ;)
