I am Seko, the owner of a hostel in the Nubian village on Elephantine Island near Aswan city center. I am looking for people to help me in the guesthouse with cleaning and looking after the place. Currently, I am running the place by myself with an occasional long-stayer helping me out, whom you will work alongside doing similar types of jobs. While working here you can also learn to navigate the back end of reservations websites. Given it is summer now, the weather is not that pleasant in the afternoon but really enjoyable in the evening, I am looking for someone who can stay for just one week or more if you like it. While if you plan to travel in autumn or winter, then it is a wise choice to spend more time in Aswan as well as Dahab and Siwa, the three most artistic, creative, laidback, hippieminded travelers' destinations of the country. Also I have no problem giving a couple or two friends a private room here. And I wanted to give you a heads up that speaking and listening to english is much easier for me than reading/writing and so whatsapp voice messages are preferred! Thank you so much for considering staying with me.

Nubian culture and island life. Workawayers will be able to learn a little bit of the Nubian language (as well as arabic), and they will get to experience life in a Nubian village. Everybody knows everybody here, and Workawayers can become part of local life. We will interact on a friendly basis, learning from each other and exchanging cultures. I like meeting people from all over the world. Workawayers can taste the local food on the island and in Aswan and swim in the Nile. The guests in the hostel bring perspectives, culture, and language from all over the world which makes for an amazing cultural exchange here on the day to day.

Right now I need volunteers that are experienced with Booking.com, Hostelworld etc. and know a little bit about these platforms to help me to manage some things about the Hostel!!! Other than this your work would mostly consist of cleaning the hostel and making sure it is ready for guests, as well as communicate with the guests about questions on booking.com (mostly instructions on how to get to the hostel). The hostel is small, and just takes a couple people to run it, so you will after some time be mostly by yourself and with the long-term worker in the morning. We will work as a team to make the hostel a welcoming place for guests, and in the downtime sharing stories and creating memories!

I would love to improve my english.Alojamiento
You will have a bed in a dormitory hosting 3 guests if female, 4 if male.
One meal per day is provided, which you can prepare yourself in the fully equipped kitchen. You can eat the same as what we provide for the guests. Sometimes we make a barbecue at night which you can also join. We have a full kitchen as well for you to prepare your meals. I can supply you with vegetables, rice and things like that if you wish! We have spices available and tea for guests that the workawayer is welcome to help themselves too from time to time.Algo más...
You can explore Aswan, Elephantine Island, Philae Temple, the Aswan botanical island, the monastery, Agha Khan Tombs, the Nubian Museum, an Unfinished Obelisk, while far away from here you can reach Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor and Abu Simbel temples. You can swim in the Nile, go fishing, take a sailboat ride, enjoy our guesthouse's great view, and get to know your neighbors on the Island! It is easy to get to Aswan city center, very long bazaar street, Nubian neighborhood and museum, by crossing the Nile on a 5 minutes 5egp public ferry ride. From the main road by the Corniche (this is how egyptians call the Nile-side) you can catch a very local microbus to the train or intercity bus station for 2,5egp each ride, or you can go southwards to Philae temple and the big dam by a longer ride. People will be helpful with you, however remind that being Aswan a well-known touristic city where cruises and boats depart and arrive, people selling their services on the Corniche sometimes can't see you as a budget, long-term traveler and they might scam you.
I prefer female volunteers and to communicate through whatsapp voice messages because my reading ability in english is limited, so once we are connected through workaway feel free to add me and we can start our conversation from there! Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to meeting you :)Un poco más de información
