The work was very varied, I've loved to challenge myself by trying to create a structure for a solar panels which I was finally proud of the result. I did also small repair work in the house and painting but also clean the gutter, clean the cars, etc. There was also cleaning in the house, laundries, cooking dinners, edging, mowing the grass, wash the daily dishes, etc.
We had lots of great conversations and we shared a lot of great times.
Cooking certain dishes could sometimes be a challenge for me but it allowed me to learn to cook lots of new and interesting things.
I loved discovering San Antonio with all the family, which is a very charming city, especially the riverwalk. Austin also pleasantly surprised me and the space center is also very interesting. It was an enriching experience!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Imane really cared. We were in a tough stop in many ways and she was able to pick up our to do list & run with it with no instructions initially. She has a good work ethic and she exceeded our expectations. She's a good communicator and received feedback well.

… read more grateful, and we really loved showing her around Texas. She is intelligent and we enjoyed hearing about Germany and other interesting information we don't learn in America.
Her cooking skills are great, especially for her age. She was able to plan, shop and cook for our family.
My wife & son missed her when they came home from dropping her off at the airport. The house felt emptier after she left. She was wonderful & will be greatly missed. We highly recommend Imane!

Dear Brandon, Aspen, Giovanni and Addi,
I have to be honest: When I stepped in the plane for my first long-distance flight I was worried and asked myself if I would be a good workawayer for you pretty much through the whole 10 hours.
But as soon as I met you guys for the first time at the airport, I was sure that everything will be fine.
… read more Because Brandon and Aspen took excellent care of me from the first moment on.
They gave me the opportunity of experiencing everyday life with a lovable and very authentic American family, something I am very thankful for.
All I had to do was making sure the chores were done and the main meals were prepared, which was absolutely doable.
My personal highlights were: Visiting the Johnson Space Center, Buc-ee's, the Blue Bell Ice Factory (what a pity that we don't have them in Germany), Walmart, Sam's and Plant Fitness at 5.30 in the morning :D
And of course our deep conversations about each other's culture.
To sum it up, they are a very open-minded, caring, humorous, uncomplicated and fun-loving family and you will enjoy your time with them a lot.
I hope to meet you guys again one day, hopefully in Europe or on a Caribbean Island next time.

I had plenty of time to discover this beautiful island on my own as I had access to the car whenever it was available. There are many things to see and do on the island, and I definitely appreciated spending 2 months checking off my list of things to see and adventures to do in St.Croix.
