Hi guys!
I'm Gaia, 37 years old, mother of two babies: Mia almost 4 years old and Diego, 7 months old!
We live in a house up on an ill, surrounded by woods, lands and with a beautiful 360° sight view!
We are between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, near the ancient roman road named Flaminia Minor, where you can just walk to dream the past atmosphere.
I work for a lift company based in Parma: I'm in smart working 4 days a week and I have to move to Parma once a week. I love sports: running, skiing, riding bike, simply walking or trekking. Here in the middle of the nature I breathe and I'm feel alive! I loves travel around the world but in this moment with the two little babies is a little difficult so that I like to receive people from the world!
Mia is going to start her second year in nursery school in September. She is a sweet and active baby, used to stay with different people. When she was 8 months old, we started hosting an au pair from Turkey, then we had other two girls and a boy until now: at the end of August our au pair Felipe from Brazil will leave and we are looking for someone who can help us.
Diego is starting to discover his body, objects, food; his little/big world! He loves her sister who is his main landmark and he is so attached to Felipe too.
Until now I told something about the three of us who live here every day. Now I’ll go on with the rest of the family.
Diego's father, Enrico, lives in Monterenzio, the first main town where we go to reach the school, the market, pharmacy, bars and restaurants, hairdresser. He has a mechanical workshop where he works. He comes here some evenings during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. He has also a daughter, Gioia, 10 years old, who stays half with him and half with her Mum. They have a good relationship and Diego loves Gioia too; even if he sees her less, he reserves for her big smiles! Obviously, Diego waits for his father every evening for their little time together!
Gioia is a quiet and sweet girl and she is like an older sister for Mia who started to know her and her father when she was just one year and half.
Then we have my parents, Mara and Brunello, who built this fantastic house in the past but they prefer to stay in Bologna now. They come once/two days a week to see us: my father has his little rural hobbies here, whereas my mother loves to stay with us, playing with babies, cooking, chatting but she misses city's noises very fast so she prefers wait for us in Bologna!
We move to the city once a week or two weeks, depend from the season.
Enrico's parents live between us and Monterenzio, in Savazza where there is the bus stop of the main line connecting Bologna to Monterenzio. It takes 10 minutes to go from here to bus stop by feet, 20 minutes to come back because you have only to go up! Domenico, Enrico's father, has a big hobby next us: a land where he keeps after a garden with fruits and vegetables and he has some animals too (chicken, dogs, gooses, goats...). Morena, Enrico's mother, works in the Municipality of Monterenzio but her biggest hobby is cooking and keeping after nephews.
I like to pass some periods (weekend or 10 days maximum) in another family's house in the mountain in Vidiciatico (Bologna) about 2 hours from here where we can ski in the winter. This house is littler but we are in the centre of the town and some little shops, bars and restaurants are available by feet. Here we can easily meet my two sisters. In the summer there is a big open swimming pool and a lot of paths into woods and up to the tips of the mountain to see Tuscany's sea or Emilia's plains. The famous 00 path of the Apennines runs on the tops of Corno alle Scale! Vidiciatico is one of the nearest towns to Corno alle Scale Regional Park and a lot of activities are published in web site for each season.
We escape from our main home two weeks in June and two in September, usually to reach blue seas and white beaches waiting for big travels when Diego and Mia will grow up.
During the winter I reach mountains to ski as soon as possible during weekend!

I believe in cultural exchange: I missed this direct experience when I was young but I started to host girls from the period of the school until the experience of au pair world. I speak English and French a little, I understand some Spanish, I like to help you with Italian language and suggest you the main locations you have to visit before leaving from here. You can take a break from cities, noises, busy life but you can easily reach when you need! We are a big family even if we leave here only in three! Sometimes you can meet also my brother and his sons who attend the International school of Bologna!
I know that we are a little far from city so that if you have to move for more than a weekend I can arrange with my parents and you can take some days off sometimes.

The main task of our guest/s is babysitting during my work time so that we need someone who can stay with Mia&Diego from 8 am to 18 pm from Monday to Friday! So five hours for five days for guest!In the morning Mia goes to school from the middle of September to the end of June, except some holiday’s periods and diseases. So, we need someone who can stay mainly with Diego in the morning when he wakes up to change him, give him breakfast, play with him or simply check him. Then our guest should prepare lunch for us. Mia should remain to school until 1.30 pm than she need take a nap at home before starting with her games. Diego need nap too in the afternoon but not only, he sleeps sometimes also in the morning. They need a snack in the afternoon around five.
I'd like finding someone who loves babies, who can play with them, but also someone who had a strong position to teach respect and rules. I'd like have a cultural exchange for all family, listening different languages, smelling different taste, knowing something about far earths. We need a positive and energic person of corse.
This guy has to keep after the house during the day, leaving it tidy at the end of the day, from children's bedroom to bathroom, from kitchen to playing room.
We don't like watching tv so much, Mia loves dancing, listening music, doing exercise, drawing, listening stories.
When I work from house, I can give a support during break or lunch. The day when I move to Parma is a little longer: I leave from house about 6.30 am and I come back about at 7 pm. Mia will stay at home in this day if I don't find someone who could take her to school and take back home. Infect if you have a drive license and a car you are more welcome because you can also help me with this little transfer.
We have a big space outdoor too, so that if you like gardening you can do a lot of things to help us also around the house.
I think that if you love nature, children and peace you can't get bored here! Every season has her life style you have only to come and discover all.

We have an apartment reserve for you: two bedroom, two bathrooms, one kitchen and a living room. You can see sun rise from your bedroom and sunset from living room. When you have to stay with babies or when you want to stay with us, we have a big living room, a kitchen and a playing room. You can sunbathe in the summer and warm up in the winter by the fireplace. In your free time you can stay with us but you can also have all your privacy in your apartment.
I have an external help to clean our part of the house once a week but we have to do some little house work daily to avoid to leave a big mess for this poor woman who arrives on Monday afternoon usually! For your apartment you can manage it how you prefer, clean or dirty tidy or untidy, the important thing is to inform me if something doesn’t work, if you break something and you have to leave the house how you found it at the start of your period here!

To stay here without a car is a little difficult but not impossible.
First of all, I can help you if it’s possible when I move from here to go to Bologna or to go to bus stop or Monterenzio. It takes 45 minutes to reach Bologna from house by car, while Monterenzio is 10 minutes far from here. I go to Monterenzio market once a week and to bring or take Mia from the school every day!
Then there are two bus line that connect Monterenzio to Bologna 916-918. Our nearest bus stop is 2 km far from here and you can reach also by feet. Bus takes a little more than an hour to reach Bologna. During school time and during the day bus frequency is good, a little less good in summer time and no bus ride during the night.
We had a hydrogeological problem in this area in May that cause a block of the main road but Monterenzio’s Municipality is working and they are solving this discomfort. In this moment buses stop in Monterenzio centre, so that you need my help to reach the bus stop.

I think that Bologna is a city of right dimension to visit and enjoy yourself. During weekend all the old town is blocked to traffic, you can just walk for shopping, for joining cultural events and eating some Emilia’s food speciality. Bologna is a university city so that you can also easily find parties around the city!
From Bologna you have a lot of choice to reach other cities by train, bus or plane! You have only to think where you prefer to go and what you want to do, project your free time and tell me if you need something!
I can host two people. I think that in this moment a couple could help me in the right way with babies, the house and the garden. Let me know how much you can help me, he could reward you with a monthly pocket money in change of your help. . I’d like finding someone who could stay here for about a year from September 2023.
